The Kulich-at-center experiment lasted one game and he went back to wing. He left last night's game and is missing today's game due to illness.
I'm just watching that he's not playing. Illness or injury? I wouldn't be at all surprised if he didn't play on WJCH, an absolute classic in our selections. A narrow staff and always one of the indispensable ones is missing.

He's sick, per the coach's comments.

Sorry but if Kulich is healthy he will play 100 %. The idea the coaches would omit him is just silly. There was no such case when such a talent like Kulich wouldn't be invited. People of course use to criticize coaches' selections every time, but this is unfair. And, if his coach says he is just sick, definitely he will be back before the tournament.

I don't know if it's because of the translator, but maybe I didn't get the impression that I wish Kulich didn't play??

I think he meant we always get a major injury for these tournaments... Jiricek after 2 periods last year... Lauko and jenik out after two games when it was home... Pavel Zacha was another... Dominik Petr after one game... Tomas hamara after one game (U18 examples)... So a Kulich injury would not be shocking at all.... It is the Czech way.lol

In the summer jaloneb said he might be the next youngster to get a national team look too... I could see him get a tryout for Skoda cup if he is available tbh.

I thought You were saying that the coaches may omit Kulich from the roster. Which is a nonsense. Of course an injury might stop him, but he is just sick according to the reports from the AHL.

Of course. It is clear from all my comments that Kulich is a key player in the lineup.

Kulich still out sick - had to leave last nights game (not sure if it is something respiratory or something digestive) but Rousek wins the game in the SO for Rochester tonight. Rousek remains my personal choice for most deserving for a recall. He seems like he'll do anything to win and does it at top speed.

First over 50 player to get a point in Extraliga!

Jágr with 2 assists today. Almost 51 years old. Considering that Extraliga is not bad at all (Krejčí was playing there last season and had no problems coming back to the NHL afterwards), this man is unbelievable. I was watching part of the game and he was still strong on the puck, maybe the strongest in the game. Of course he was also the slowest, but the margin wasn't so giant as I expected, and he was able to compensate a lot of it with precise positioning.

Sustr sat in a pressbox for a week and now back to Iowa in the AHL.

Zohorna got 2 games and am not really sure if he's staying or leaving.

Lukas Dostal just got the call to a struggling Ducks team after a Stolarz injury. Not sure if he's playing or backing up.

Zohorna put us up to 28 skaters and 6 goalies with at least 1 game.

My worst prediction so far is blumel getting 60 games.

Well, we're up to 35 Czechs with at least 1 game now... 28 skaters and 7 goalies (which is pretty damn good!)

He's losing 2-0 on a bad Anaheim team but nice to see him get NHL time

Dostal got his ass tossed to the wolves tonight.. back to back. Gibson left (not sure why, assume an injury) and the Leaf's lit Lukas up! What bugs me (other than back to back starts in under 24 hours)... he's now played 5 periods and the Ducks have 0 goals.

Good news! Lukas Dostal is now an NHL starter.lol Both Gibson and Stolarz are hurt. It's his crease.

Bad News! Lukas Dostal is a starter for the Anaheim Ducks and is about to feel a lot of pain

Anaheim has been outscored 16-1 in the last THREE games by SJ, TO and Ottawa (2 non playoff teams). Things aren't good there.

Lukas will ask to be sent back to the AHL lol.

We Ducks fans have high expectations for Dostal. He should be good in a year or two. Not the ideal situation for him to play now.

I hear San Diego is lovely around Xmas time.lol

Don't get me wrong.. my dream was that Stolarz would be traded at the trade deadline and then Dostal would come up and split duties with Gibson. Then Ducks would get Bedard and he'd be the backup to start next season (no more AHL). This isn't that.

The Duck's core is beautiful. I assume they fire Eakins before next season, add a very good first rounder and slowly takeoff with Dostal being part of that core.

Don't know how far he is from playing but very encouraging. Amazingly, Hronek was at the practice to and knew where he was after being demolished (I think it was a headshot and hated the hit).

So many things have gone well for Czechs.. but Voracek, O. Kase, Palat and Vrana all not playing is a lot of our absolute best players not playing! And Zadina (for goodman.lol).

The Czech merry go round continues!

Get back Vrana.. lose Sedlak. He has terminated his contract and gone home. I think he's there now. I have no idea why as he was doing very well!

Klok went home
Kempny went home
Sedlak went home
Vrana into players assistance
Palat into surgery
O. Kase went home with concussion 25
J. Voracek is done for the season (and maybe forever)

This are key national team members and at least half of them would be on a best on best roster. At least Krejci is back where he belongs in the NHL.

Kulich back from illness and played center last night in the AHL game against Charlotte. He had a goal and an assist, as did Rousek who played on one of his wings. (The third member of their line also scored.)

Bubble wrap him and send him to Eastern Canada please!lol Jiricek is now a .ppg AHL player in his D + 1 as a Dman. I am starting to think they're both quite good!

Kulich's at just shy of 0.7 points/game right now and one of our local bloggers has been doing some fancy stat looks at the farm team with Kulich showing out as one of their better players there. It's pretty easy to see watching him too. :D

It's a shame Gibson got hurt and Dostal got tossed into the fire agains the leafs. Take that period and a half away and he's been .920 or better in the 3 games he started. If you're not following the Ducks this season, those 3 starts are in Hasek territory. They have 3 regulation wins all season and Dostal has 2 of them this week. Put another way... Vejmelka has it easier.lol
