I played in the roller hockey national championship tournament in Las Vegas in 1997 and that is exactly how the locker rooms were set up there...a curtained off area and chairs. That was a U16 roller hockey tournament 25 years ago and now NHL teams have to suffer through that? Yikes.

I also read your post a couple times, since at first I said, wow this guy wen tot nationals and then I read your handle that says "Brisebois 1st rounder" and I thought, was this guy a Brisebois 1st rounder? And then I read the post again thinking hmm, 16 yr old roller star back then maybe?

P.S. do you have beef with Coolio? why is he getting on you like that for a harmless post?

I'm amazed you made it to 41, having suffered the way you did at age 16.

Let's pray the exploited NHL serfs forced to suffer similar indignities will also pull through unscathed.

What is the actual minimum you think professional athletes deserve relative to the money they earn their employers?

Just fly coach.
Exactly! I'm sure the savings of the owner would be passed on to the fans.

I'm honestly not sure why people are surprised by this. They are playing in a college hockey rink in an arena that's not set up exclusively for hockey nor was it ever intended to house professional athletes.

This is all make-shift stuff. It sucks. We get it. Cut them some slack. Jesus.

It's like when people bash the Olive Garden for not providing them a fine Italian cuisine. The problem isn't Olive Garden in that case. The problem is you. Don't go to Olive Garden expecting a first-rate Italian meal and you won't look like a jackass complaining about it.

I don't think they "deserve" better, it's still very funny that this is how they're managing. It's funny how weirdly kind of defensive people some are that this is being made fun of. The unironic "it's doing it's job!" people just read as contrarian for contrarian sake.

The difference here is they are going to the Olive Garden expecting Olive Garden and being served fast food instead

The problem with your analogy is that the Arizona Coyotes are an NHL team (i.e., fine Italian cuisine in this scenario) and the players have no choice but to play there (i.e., go to the restaurant).

This had to have sounded more clever in your head.

Embarrassing that a professional league in 2022 is doing shit like this.
