Yes, been down this road in earlier threads and agree with both of you. The WHO does need to be investigated to see what happened when, with respect to the virus. The American people get to decide what happens to their current President in November.
They have said several times that they welcome an investigation and that if errors were made they need to be held responsible. I have yet to hear anyone else saying that. Mostly it's about finding someone to blame, easy targets include the ones which cannot really defend themselves because then they risk losing their funding. They have also correctly (imo) that this is not the time to do this, there will be time to assess and evaluate after this crisis is over, or at least has calmed down.

Anyhow, he does not like UN, so this is a good time to cut one of their arms I guess.

Unfortunate incidents in PRC. They knowingly allow the virus to spread across the world, then deny, cry racism and point fingers at others. Now this. How long is the free world going to continue to do business with this evil, corrupt regime?

US, African nations express 'extreme concern' over alleged coronavirus-related racism in China - ABC News

Disgusting. They clearly don't play by the rules of "do anything possible to not look like you're racist even if it's biting you in the ass" (allowing travel when they shouldn't have been). My sister in law was born and raised in China and came to Canada for school where she met my wife's brother. Her family told her "watch out for white boys, they only want 1 thing". Thankfully her parents seem like nice people that just had a stereotypical knowledge of people outside of China. But it's clear that there is racism there and everywhere for that matter. How convenient that they are treating people of African descent like dirt when it was their own country where this shit started.

Trump halts World Health Organization funding over handling of coronavirus outbreak - CNNPolitics

WHO just had their funding cut by the US till a review of a possible coverup over the spread of the virus in China takes place.

About the only thing that IMO Trump has done right outside of stopping international travel.

The WHO never held the authoritative power when it came to determining how much of a threat it was initially. They weren't the ones stepping in to silence the doctors who first encountered the virus.

This whole 'investigation' will come to a screeching halt when the finger gets pointed back at the Chinese government.

Considering their connections to China, I wouldn't be shocked if they were swayed into staying quiet for a little bit.

Definitely worth the investigation, IMO.

That’s what I am curious to see regarding the culpability of China and what impact they had on the reporting of the WHO. Lots of blame. Lots.

Sad story out of Regina...this older fellow was waiting on a kidney transplant, went out in public once with his wife and got Covid. He passed away April 10th. It sounds like he did everything he could not to get sick but all it took was one trip to Costco, a Safeway and a pharmacy where he picked up and got sick with Covid. He wasn't tested right away because all he had for symptoms was trouble breathing at first.

His wife, however never picked up one symptom whatsoever but yet their oldest son, daughter in-law and one of their two kids also got sick with it and presume they got it from the gentleman who passed.

I'm presuming the wife must be an asymptomatic carrier, and likely as well is the one grandson who didn't get ill either.

Regina man dies in hospital after catching COVID-19 in the community

I've never seen a virus with such a random symptom generator, but here we are.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your President.....

So let's unpackage this... Trump doesn't let the reporter finish asking his question, deflects the blame to the governors (after he personally guaranteed that everyone who wants a test, gets a test), cuts the reporter's mic so he can't ask the question he intended, and finally threatens to stomp off the stage... sigh.

I mean, you go for it, but I'm not on board any longer. I won't be spending time with people in my sphere who are vulnerable, and will be taking proper precautions, but I sure won't be having family dinners over zoom chat like I had to this weekend, and I'll be out and about way more now. Sorry, but I am not shutting my life down while large numbers of others get to do whatever they want. Not happening.
That's some pretty f***ing selfish bullshit. Everyone else is sacrificing their time and freedom for the greater good, and here you are saying you'll be out doing whatever you want.

The point is not even the leadership of this country, telling us to make these sacrifices, can be bothered to follow the rules. So enjoy your lockdown sucker.

He also insults him and calls him names.
