lots of reasons really. Look at smartphones. You simply talk about something and than you start getting ads on not only your phone, but pc as well. That’s messed up. Everything they do is to make it easier to track people, what they spend their money on etc. Cash will be obsolete some day. Now this vaccine nonsense. I keep up to date with my MMR etc, but this one is different to me. The whole rollout seemed rushed.

Who are they, and why are they following you? If it really worries you, why are you here posting? Satellites are watching as well!

Yes that's what da public gets but CDC has a complete database on everyone who gets a COVID19 shot with Deloitte up in da clouds which they can access
Actually it’s sent to the states immunization registry and I honestly don’t know if it gets sent to cdc as an individual record or if it’s compiled data.
I’ll ask the guy designed our system that does the vaccine for children program.Basically when the nurse gives the shot the info is sent directly from or EHR (Epic) to the imm reg.

In reality you can’t. Hopefully in a few months it won’t even matter for in state travel, but to get into the country everyone should have some proof of vaccination.
I'm not sure what you mean by "In reality you can't".

And, there will be two countries (e.g., U.S. & Canada) involved in the kind of scenario I'm talking about. You leave a country to enter another one, and then go back, so I'm wondering how all this plays out. I know what the regulations were a few months ago, because I traveled between the two countries. But, the Canadian government has changed the regulations since then, and are about to change them again.

You didn't answer my question in the last sentence of my post.

In TN,AL, AR and MS When you make your original appointment you print, or download to your phone, a barcode that ties you to a date, time and the site you’ll receive your shot. You must have that barcode when you show up. When they administer the 1st dose the vaccine information is then stored in your record. When it’s time to schedule your 2nd dose you are sent a reminder, you pick your date and time and you get second dose barcode to print or download. Follow the same steps.

They also give you a CDC vaccine record card when you get the first dose that has the vaccine information (see my post above) that you must bring to second dose appointment.

After each dose the record is automatically sent to the immunization registry where people can log in and see their entire vaccination history and schedule.

Barcode you say?

Joking aside, there was this end of times movie I was watching, dystopian future movie everyone had a barcode on their arm for tracking purposes...

If I was to guess and I'm always wrong, I would say it's the Cape Breton Liberation Army that is tracking him... those guys are tricky bastards....

Never said anyone was following me..lol, but if you don’t think they use your phone etc to listen to your conversations than you are just oblivious .Guess you might be the first person i have ever put on ignore. You must be a real delight.

"They" can listen to whatever conversation I have. I got nothing to hide. Of course "they" listen to us. "They" are also really boring people if they get off listening to me and my wife talk about groceries or what to have for dinner.

What state secrets are you hiding from "they"?

If you are that sensitive that you can't handle me having a little banter with another forum member, fill yer boots ignore me. Living in an echo chamber must be fun.

Telephone tapping - Wikipedia

The history of voice communication technology begins in 1876 with the invention of Alexander Graham Bell’s telephone. In the 1890s, “law enforcement agencies begin tapping wires on early telephone networks”.

Dance like no one is watching, but talk like you're being recorded.

I don't know about Canadian law, but in the U.S. it is illegal for a government to track (location data) a cell-phone. They can collect aggregate location data (collect from multiple cell phones), but the MIN (Mobile ID Number) must be stripped from the data. Therefore, the result is there is no connection between the MIN and the identity of a person.

If you use a service from a private company, they can do this most likely because you give your consent to the company's terms and conditions (which people tend not to read) I believe.

And, its also illegal to do a wiretap as well unless an authority gets a court order. I think a post above (#187) has a wiki link providing info on this topic.

Banter is one thing, but you come off as a condescending insert explicit word. Seems like you are one of those people who thinks they are the smartest guy in the room, or I could be wrong and you are a super nice dude.

Nah he sounds like a consumerist drone that repeats the talking points the television inserts into his brain.

Reminder that everyone experiences a similar case pattern regardless of lockdown measures and some places that locked down the hardest had worse second waves than those that barely locked down at all.

E.g., population adjusted cases per 100k for a few selected states:

Don't worry, he put me on his ignore list months ago for correcting him on something basic. He's not interested in having conversations outside of his own echo-chamber

That is unfortunate, how do you grow as a person if you don't let others challenge your knowledge of the world. When I hire staff I specifically target people who I know are smart and I get the impression they will challenge my understanding of my business / world. I don't hire yes men / women. My belief is you don't know what you don't know. Would be a really boring existence if all I heard was my own opinion bouncing back to me every day. In the end everyone has coping skills, for some of us it's to hide for others it's the opposite, different strokes for different folks. It's an unfortunate action.

I heard this quote from JFK when I was kid but Voltaire said something similar before JFK, to which I hold as one of my personal guiding principals.

If you deny to anyone else the right to say what you think is wrong, it will not be long before you will lose the right to say what you think is right. Defense of the freedom of others is self-defense. Voltaire stated this fact as a genius can: “I wholly disagree with what you say and will contend to the death for your right to say it.”
Hiding in an echo chamber is a passive version of denying someone the right to say what they feel is correct. In the old days you'd get a punch in the nose if you offended someone, now people hide and/or gather with their echo "team".

is echo-chamber the cool phrase du jour? I enjoy the back and forth, but I can’t help but think that you believe our government and health officials actually care about us when they implement these covid rules/lockdowns.
