Also Dr Yeadon is a conspiracy nut who has been saying that the pandemic is over and that there's no need for a vaccine. So take his word with a grain of salt. He also hasn't worked for Pfizer for 9 years

How would they know so quickly? So should they force women to get vaccinated?

every country/region has a health body (like Health Canada/FDA etc..) that will be looking at the results before being green lighted.

Also, legal team will be looking at any "fine print" where Pfizer/Moderna/others if state that if people die or develop severe health symptoms after vaccinations due to complications they are not responsible

Once the vaccine is tested and validated as "Safe" by every health department around the globe; what is the probability that it will not be? Pfizer will have to bribe a lot of money to a lot of people in a lot of countries for everyone to agree with them.

I haven't seen any article from any "official health agency" of any country questioning the safety of these vaccines yet.

And you said Yeadon's BS is called out by people STILL working in the field

I didn't know that the smallpox vaccine was really just to make it into a micro-smallpox reaction...so Vaccines don't stop you from getting the virus? Cool...didn't know that...or is it just this vaccine that we're calling a vaccine that isn't really a vaccine?

Absolutely its our problem....so when we say that we are wearing masks and it works in Asia...well...not really the same comparison. They are using surgical level masks...and we for a big percentage of the population are just wearing underwear on our face because we don't want to shell out a few bucks. They should mandate no cloth masks...they don't do diddly...never have..never will.

When you think about it...your ass is protected by 2 layers of cloth...and farts still get smelled...thats cloth for ya.

So what's the solution?

How much of that responsibility falls on government in Canada? The individual?

that kind of impact requires years of data and observation for elimination of the virus. They still haven;t eliminated AIDS yet after tremendous investments and research.

Currently people are dying and those who survive sizable proportion of these have lingering impacts including strokes, heart attacks, brain fogs, fatigue, body ache, etc....

What they don't tell you about surviving COVID-19

and they need something to work and that is what these vaccines are designed to do. Virus is brand new and they are still studying.

This isn't a movie where tony stark finds the solution in 10 seconds and avengers win. This is real life

Thanks for the compliment...I will take that as genuine and not sarcastic. It's up to both the individual and government actually...they should mandate medical masks and people should use them. Firstly they should have bought a few hundred million of them for pennies..I would know I just bought 10k of them from china for 15 cents each and I didn't really bargain hard because I wanted them for my customers. The government could get them for about .02 each ...that used to be the actual price of them before covid as I found out from my employee in china who was scrounging around finding me masks in march.

Now...the government can provide them for free and also put in a law to prevent people from selling above a set amount for retailers and wholesalers...so no gouging allowed. Then..we tell people to throw away those useless cloth masks and use real ones. You make retailers allow only surgical masked up people in your store...They should have done this in the summer when they made retailers require masks.

If we did that...our levels might be closer to Asia than the whacked out numbers we have...

I can officially say that it’s okay for me to share that I volunteered for the Covid-19 vaccine trial in partnership with pfizer. It's the one that has been developed in Russia and trials started about 7 weeks ago. I received my first dose on Friday morning, and I wanted to let you all know that it’s completely safe, with иo side effects whatsoeveя, and that I feelshκι я чувю себя немного стрно и я думю, что вытл осные уши

Who's going to police which masks are OK to use in public and which aren't?

Are we actually concerned or realistically trying to acheive 100% of the public using masks 100% correctly?

Or is the bigger picture challenge one where we're trying to rapidly adapt an entire society to mask-wearing, period; worrying about the finer details at a later date when the adaption rate is solidified?

vaccine doesn't stop the spread but if you get one you can go out and about. Makes sense to me...

You can re-use them just as much as a cloth mask...if the idea is to protect other people ...then you can still use the surgical masks multiple times. They don't disintegrate after 8hrs or anything. People think cloth reusable is ok but not surgical...its basically the same thing. The virus will be on the outside of it on both...but one of them protects other people from your exhalations better...its all it is really.

I don't think its really that hard to police. You make some public service announcements...you put up signs at the doors...we managed to get people to wear masks pretty easily when going in to retail..why would telling people they need to be accordion style surgical masks hard to do?

If you are worried about a later date...when we are in the middle of the 2nd wave...well..we have different priorities. I am sure if you asked people who are in locked down areas if they would prefer to stay locked down or just wear a surgical mask...the answer would be pretty unanimous for masks.
