As a Clone Wars and Rebels fan it was absolutely glorious. And even if people didn't watch those shows I don't think they'll be lost.

Also, I want a Loth-cat.
The music was beautiful. Not surprising since the same composer did the cartoons which also had brilliant music.

Saw Blue Beetle...

George Lopez was hilarious in this, had no idea that Susan Surandon was in it, didn't see her once in the trailers.

It doesn't do anything new or super creative but the family is entertaining and very endearing, it's well acted and it has some good actions scenes. Didn't look like a ton of cgi either which was refreshing as well and probably why the budget was much lower than some of these other movies.

I believe Blue Beetle was originally going to be a streaming movie for Max but they liked it enough once it was finished to give it some more money to enhance whatever effects they could and turn it theatrical. So that’s the likely reason it isn’t a CGI glob fest, which is currently refreshing

Getting really into it coupled with vacation allowed me to binge the ever loving shit out of Suits and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. Def worth the watch for anyone wanting to check something out.

I stopped watching Suits in season 5 I think? Whichever season it was Mike was in prison. I might have to go back and finish it. Although most likely it'll be yet another show I'm going to "get around to eventually" that I won't. My watchlists are like a mile long.

I’m living a lawyer show not yet in production. It’s called “Your divorce lawyer wife talked you into a third kid in your later 30s? Good luck with that”. It’s a riveting account of a lawyer who works and then goes home and gets told he’s an idiot by his wife kids and dogs.

My Three Sons does have a sitcom sound to it.

Upon further review, probably because there was a show called My Three Sons. In my defense it was from the 60's.

That's my Peeky Blinders list. I always say I'm going to and I still haven't.

I’ve said it before, I watch most of the Star Wars movies and shows (or try to at the very least but I’m not a huge fan of how things have gone the last decade. Ahsokas 1st 2 episodes were some of the best I’ve seen. I just watched it but it may even rival early Mandalorian for me.

Under this endorsement I will check it out. I’ve definitely been down on Star Wars since Rise of Skywalker. Lost interest in Mando, Book of Boba Fett was weak the few episodes I saw, and Obi-Wan a pretty big disappointment considering Ewan in the role is my favorite SW character.

I just feel live action Star Wars should be a theater experience, and how Disney f***ed that up is beyond me with no film on the horizon.

I’ve enjoyed most of the live action Star Wars TV shows so adjust your opinion accordingly.

I enjoyed the first 2 episodes of Ahsoka but having only watched a bit of Rebels and Clone Wars it felt like a giant prologue that is 25% of the season. I’m ok with that but my wife, who only has movies and Disney+ Star Wars knowledge, was feeling like, “Who are the people, why should I care, and why is the show making a big deal of characters appearing?”

My impression is that medium to big Star Wars fans will enjoy the first 2 episodes and everyone else will be a mixed bag between feeling lost and enjoying. For me, it does appear to be Filoni paying off some huge story arcs but for the audience just joining I’m not sure he hooked them in enough.

It seems like the adventure probably kicks off in episode 3 so I hope the audience sticks around and that the show pays the viewers off.

I never watched Rebels or Clone Wars, but I knew who Ahsoka, Thrawn, and Ezra were just from being online in nerd communities the past decade.

Obviously things like remembering Ezra will hit hardcore fans differently than they hit a casual like me, but I think Filoni made it clear that these characters are all important and have rich histories and personalities. As long as the writing continues to be good, I think that's enough thrust for our current story.

But I thought overall they did a good job walking the line between pandering to the people who already know and the people who are just tuning in.

Ashoka really just is Rebels season 5. If you have not watched rebels, there really is no point in watching Ashoka. Unless you have watched a summary video or something.

Those upset by thr Dune news can content themselves by watching the Dune movie from the 1980s. Aside from the seamless and very natural looking special effects the movie did a great job telling a multi volume story in about two hours. It’s not at all a jumbled mess whose only memorable moment is Sting yelling “Send in the floating fat man!!” To be fair he yelled that line with gusto.

Andor>>>>

Only thing I’m invested in which is funny because it was something I couldn’t have cared less about but then it was just too good not to
