Book of Boba Fett started today. I liked the first episode, but I already know what some of the complaints are going to be.
Settle down there tiger. It's not a movie, it's not a film, it's a cinematic masterpiece and I don't care how anyone feels about these superhero productions. As a standalone it would still be that good. And frankly I never gave a shit about spiderman and still pretty much don't, despite being kind of a Marvel geek.
I'll be shocked if it doesn't win 237 awards.
It's already the highest rated film with more than 20k ratings in rotten tomatoes history (99%) and it has almost 30k. Endgame, Infinity War, and Iron Man sit at ~90%.
The other Marvel greats (albeit fox), Logan and Days of Future Past? ~90% as well.
As I've been authorized to speak for other posters as I see fit, I think his reply was really directed towards @njdevils1982 who went off the rails more then a bit. I mean, we are talking about the Beatles and the making of an iconic album. The fact that some random internet poster can't work with plates on a piano, and thus the Beatles were doing it wrong? C'mon now.I’m not sure what you saw in my comments to suggest I was being overly critical? My only point was that for professional musicians of note they weren’t particularly uptight about the instruments and seem to see them more like someone else might look at tools. If I wanted to attack them as people it wouldn’t be by talking about guitars and drums.

ya, that was some over exaggeration for fun… i was just astounded at how messy the place was with some many people around..
you should see amount of plates and glasses on my side table by my mixing board ……but im just one lazy ass person….
maybe i'll clean that shit up today as im off until after the new year
No, I think you did hit on something. By 1969 the Beatles were used to having everything done for them. From Neil Aspinall and Mal Evans - and then Evans was allowed to hire his own gofer. Something tells me if Evans or Aspinall weren't asked to do it, the Beatles didn't do it themselves and it just sat there. With no Brian Epstein to watch over them a lot of stuff just didn't get looked at and something like a cleanup crew would have been easy to overlook.

Im by no means a die hard fan but the Mando and Fett (1st episode) shows are 10x better than that last trilogy for me.
Absolutely great show. That Teddy Perkins episode is absolutely crazy. The surrealism in the show is what makes it great imo. Season 3 releasing on March 24th, keep an eye out!!We finished the two seasons of Atlanta and are looking forward to the next one. Very funny, very surreal show. Donald Glover is a comedic genius.

Lol yes, that episode was gold! Too many good episodes to note. You can look up their social media accounts, the trailer for season 3 is out! From what I understand, it’ll be set in Europe during Paperboy’s tour, which directly follows the ending of season 2. It honestly looks great!Yes, that episode was insane. I didn't even realize who was playing the Teddy Perkins character until I looked it up afterward. Total mind screw episode, pretty much a whole horror movie condensed into 35 minutes.
The Barbershop episode right before that was excellent too. Bibby is quite the character, I hope they find a reason to feature him in an episode next season.
What do you think some of the complaints are going to be?

Can't judge the Boba Fett show yet, sort of neutral on that first episode. Some brutal dialog / delivery but some good moments. In general, halfway through last season of Mando, I accepted that I'm basically watching a Star Wars Hercules / Xena. The balance of the first few episodes in season one gave way to easy, kind of silly entertainment. Nothing wrong with that but, unlike the animated shows, seems like they have a tough time nailing something that's both fun and meaningful. My guess is that they're going the MCU route and each show will tie into the other ones.

Station Eleven. Stumbled on it by accident. Never heard of it. It's awesome 3 episodes in. VERY character driven and jumps all over the place with time shifting from modern day to future to backstories but damn it drips with some heavy heavy character development and none of it feels padded.
Quick synopsis: mega flu hits in 2021 (hmmmm sounds familiar) and the world ends mostly.
I've watched the first 5 episodes, I like it but I'm not in love with it. More curious to see where it all goes.
It feels very original in how it's edited/shot to me
