I get the sentiment, but they're not suffering soft tissue injuries. It's not hamstrings and groins.

You can't do much to prevent injuries that come from a guy landing awkwardly in the boards like Zucker, taking a shot to the ankle like Kapanen, getting hit illegally like Blueger, or going knee to knee like Malkin.

So, basically, we are just cursed :(

I’d put it more on a he strength and conditioning staff. Every year there are a slew of injuries that result from seemingly harmless plays and then guys are out for weeks.

So any chance Tanev is back for the Isles tomorrow? Next closest guy might be Zucker which is amazing but I still don’t think he is necessarily close. This forward group is decimated

Sounds like some kinda concussion-related shit. But he's a Penguin, so he's probably got the spores from The Last of Us growing out of his skull or something.
Hopefully not, but our goalies seem to be getting run over in every game without any response from the team.
Obviously nothing new from the Fleury/Murray times.

Retroactive to March 16.

Means he needs to miss 10 games or 24 days.

Means he could be back by mid-April (2 more weeks). I would not read too much into the LTIR designation. It is mostly a cap manoeuvre.

Still dont like the fact its been this long. I am assuming it was to his knee if you look at the replay, which was his ACL/MCL one. Hopefully its just precautionary.

As long as it's not The Last of Us II. Not only would him getting infected by the spores, but he'd be associated with that terrible entry in the franchise.

Come at me anyone who liked that POS.

I liked the first third, but the whole Abby story was boring and made me want it to just be over.

Sooooooooo odds are pretty good Penguins will be having a complete line up at the end of the regular season?

Meaning that everyone on the injury list, for the most part, _should_ be back by the playoffs... of course not considering the players who get injured from this point onward.

and on the bright side ...the chances of them getting hurt again while they are on the ir is much slimmer

It’ll be so refreshing to see actual NHL players in the lineup. It’s been so long.
