Out on the front line, don't worry I'll be fine...

Admittedly, well beyond expectations.
But…Those expectations remain flint like the whole way through and into the second round.
Admittedly, well beyond expectations.
I've seen a lot of people saying that "no one thought this tandem would be good" given their struggles the last year or two - the moment we signed Samsonov, I started to feel really good about our goaltending. If you're rebuilding a tandem from the ground up, getting two young-ish but experienced goaltenders that have proven they can play well at this level is just about the best you can ask for - especially given that we gained assets in doing it.
Was there risk? Sure. But in my view, these moves were incredibly strategic and opportunistic from the start - and yet most of the fan base lambasted Dubas for being reckless and throwing caution to the wind.
The early returns of this bet are better than even our management could've expected, but given the circumstances, this was a masterclass from the start. Kudos to the whole management team - they stepped up at a time when it mattered most
As is comparing forwards and defense men, no?Comparing goalies on different teams playing different systems is completely pointless.
Thats a good point. We did change the goalie coach. Ranford(think that's his name), was poached from the Nucks, who has one of the best goalie development team in the NHL.
Murray just needs to stay healthy.
Sammy and Kally are someone who needs tips here and there to round out their games.
Pretty sure it is from the Marlies where he doesnt need to stress eat. And that 13 is Willie, right.
I mean I wouldn't mind Billy ranford as the goalie coachSanford
I've said this a few times, but I was surprised at the uproar when Dubas was chosen over Hunter considering we had been just going through the good old boys club in terms of GMs with no success. You'd think there would have been a demand for a breath of fresh air. Nope. This board misses Lou and wants Trotz! Recycle, reuse, reduce. It's weird, fans love to whine about the "old boys club" and how the same people are recycled over and over. Yet ever since the Leafs hired Dubas and even Keefe, some fans shit on every single move they do and amplify any mistakes as franchise destroying blunders like we have Ballard again.
Then those same people who hate old boys will then demand Dubas get fired and likely want some old recycled garbage GM who would do a worse job but has the name.
Dubas took a risk sure but I guarantee he knew what he was doing and was likely pumped when he scored both of these guys and even more pumped its working out like he hoped
Been pleased with Murray so far this year but tonight isn't a good one for him.

I think they just need to rotate while both are healthy. This week: Ducks on Tuesday, NYR on Thursday, Caps on Saturday
Do you give Samsonov Tuesday and Saturday so he can play against his old team again. (He’s already beaten them)
Let Murray get back on the horse after a meh game?
I'd support doing this. This week: Ducks on Tuesday, NYR on Thursday, Caps on Saturday

+1I'd say a rotation makes a lot of sense. Keep both as healthy as possible. Both playing well. Samsonov Tuesday. Murray Thursday. Samsonov Saturday.

Normally those are not the same people, as you erroneously claim here.
He did not know what he was doing. He gambled. He took a risk. Right now it is paying off, but do not pretend this was part of some sort of plan from Kyle Dubious.

He knew the next GM would be stoked about that third round pick.Lmao why are you acting like just because something has risk involved that the result being positive can’t be the plan?
Is your suggestion actually that Dubas acquired them fully expecting mediocre play? With his job on the line no less?
We trade them each for Bedard and Michkov, bring up Woll and Petruzzelli and watch them put up even better numbers, of course! If this keeps up, what do we do in the offseason? If Samsonov puts up a .920+ this season as a 25 year old, there's no way you can let go of that... but then again, if Murray can reclaim the sauce that won him two cups you want to hold onto that too. Obviously still early, but this could be a serious embarrassment of riches
