Bobbo is done .. got his $$$ deal and playing out da string now .. I would stay with Murray over him as he has won 2 Cups and 1 of those Cups he carried da Pens to victory
I have questions.

Do you actually never use da word the?

If you never do, has anyone ever caught you slipping?

Have you never once used that word on here?

Does this extend to stuff like da texts and da google searches?

Do you speak da word the?

If not, when did you stop and why?

I’m actually into knowing all this, if you will be so kind as to indulge me.

After two games, I’m no more comfortable about the situation. Murray’s weak spot was exploited and it matched the reports, question mark. Samsonov was okay, but the amount of mesh I see behind him, it’s more noticeable than other tenders we have, that shit will catch up with you.

A disaster no, encouraging, seems a stretch.

Imagine if Samsonov became the number one ? Once again we are paying a backup $4 million!

That would be fine, and indicate Samsonov was a good choice.

Murray is a cheap buyout after this year.

I mean cost the Sens a 3rd to retain 25% for two seasons.

Even if he widley inconsistent this season, probably not going to cost an arm and leg to flip. Teams always need a goalie.

Pesky Sens back loaded the deal so the highest salary paid out is next year. So you need a bad team with deep pockets to potentially pick up the tab. Hell, call Chicago again.

I can't tell if samsonov is great at rebound control or he's just giving up massive ones that shot into the corner instead of a more juicy area.

Murray I'll reserve judgement

It's still 4 plus million

Idk how many teams take that in today's NHL better way is to just ltir him

Think his full salary in real money is $8 million. Assuming the Senators pay the literal 25%, you'd need a team to pick up $6 million in real salary to get it all off your books. Maybe an LTIR would be an easier in house scenario if it ever came to that. Hopefully not though.

Yeah I was talking cap hit but that makes it even more difficult.

If he doesn't work here he's obviously done in the league anyways so maybe he'd take one

There is a thought in goaltending technique that you want to kick the puck out beyond where the danger areas are, so out to the corners at speed where nobody can grab a rebound is a good technique. But whether that's all by design or not in Samsonov's game, I don't know.

Yeah he is either elite at it or got extremely lucky

Hopefully he's elite at it

I have to think it's still way too early.
Murray's glove weakness didn't seem exposed to me, they were snipers. If he bobble the pucks or they trickled through him I would be more worried.
That said both goalies need to clean up the post work but apparently that the coaches strong suit

Sure, I’m just saying after two games my pov hasn’t changed.

I'm curious myself. Not expecting an answer though, I've asked along these lines before and I just get ignored.

I am not sure how you don't have a goalie but here we are
What does this mean? We have multiple goalies, just like every team in the NHL.

If Murray plays tonight I will have second hand embarrassment for Scoob knowing we followed up last years save % by starting the season playing a no.1 with groin discomfort after losing a 1st to get rid of a goalie whose season got derailed with never ending groin issues.

What a story line

Oh good, no more trading first rounders. Our prospect pool needs more impact players.

Then they'll likely trade him if that happens.
Yes but it will cost at least a first rounder again.

He has had the chance to win the job since he was signed. So it is possible. Personally, I don't think so, but who knows?
Yeah given how Murray had played Ottawa didn't eat enough salary for me.
