This latest Murray so called injury is fishy. Let’s dissect it.
he is in a regular rotation and has a couple of bad games. Sammy gets the next 5 or so starts. Keefe decides to give Murray a game. In the pre game Nylander hits him with a high shot on the shoulder and Murray skates off and pulls himself from the game. Then we hear it’s a flair up of an ankle injury.
Lets think about this, he sat on the bench for 5 games and in that time he would have participated in any practices, morning skates and pre game skate and no problems. First time his is scheduled to be the starter he get a shot up high in pre game and quits.
I would argue that the problem is between the ears.
Murray might plays Euro Football on the side bc his latest injury is a lot like those Euro players injury. The diff is, those footballer will get back up and play after the refs called foul either in them or at the other player, lol.

Are you in on Saros at the TDL or the off season?
Probably something that's "easier" to accomplish in the offseason. Would entail moving on from both of our current goalies. The nice part is that it'd be possible to get by with an affordable backup. The trade price figures to be exorbitant, but Saros is undoubtedly a starter.

Hahahahahahah I never thought of a soccer comparison

There was a reason they signed Samsonov.

I have a feeling his act is already wearing thin, he's unreliable, soft minded, oft injured and his salary makes him that much more unwanted.
Two more trades at 50% retained and some team will have a pretty good back up.

Considering that Murray rejected a trade to Buffalo, you think that would have put even more pressure on Ottawa to trade him, and for Dubas to ask for even more return to wanting him playing in Toronto.

At least we didn't really give up anything

What is the difference between IR and LTIR?

IR requires not playing for seven calendar days, while LTIR involves not playing for 24 calendar days and ten NHL games.

Something doesn't smell right here if Murray is out for at least a couple weeks when Short term IR is only good for 7 days.

This feels like Leafs are waiting to see Woll in action a few games and then decide if Murray stays on IR or gets put on LTIR retroactive prior to all star break when he was injured.
