I remember in the dark ages and maybe even after that for some time Rangers fans would complain that they never had a great net front presence like Holmstrom. Well here he is.
I remember Gaborik used to score a lot of deflection goals from in front of the net on the PP, then Torts decided he doesn’t want us to score on the PP and moved him.

So much of the Kreisler hate is just Family Guy mystery box reasoning.

“A 25-30 goal power forward is a 25-30 goal power forward, but a prospect could be anything! It could even be a 25-30 goal power forward! You know how much we’ve been wanting one of those.”

And you end up with two tickets to a comedy club while your peers get franchise players. “We took the draft pick … hop in.”

kreider’s issue isn’t that he’s incapable of playing like a power forward, it’s that he has these amazing stretches for a couple weeks then becomes completely invisible for a month. if he can keep this up, I’m all for it. but we’ve yet to see sustained high quality play like this for long periods of time. I don’t mind a bad game or two, but when a week of bad play becomes two weeks then a month, that’s his issue.

. The issue is that fans set unrealistic expectations for him since 2012 and unless he reaches their expectations they get upset. He has been a very important player for us fit almost a decade

Exactly. To keep expecting him to turn into some kind of elite producer after 10 years of non-elite production is just asking to be disappointed. If he's contributing 25 goals and 50-60 points each season I'm happy.
