I liked Kreider stirring the pot.
Agreed.
Kreider is at his best when he's involved and engaged in the game. When he's playing a chippy, edgy game, it adds another element to his play.
Something like a Sean Avery player we've missed a little.

Kreider is not like Avery. He is a power forward who can skate like the wind. I think he surprises people by how quickly he bears down on them for hits. Players don't like being hit by a 6'3 220lb player going the speed of light. He plays very similarly to Max Pacioretty.
Despite a lot of negative vibes the rangers are giving to our fans there are a few positives. kreider is the biggest positive. He has played like we expected him to since coming back. Gotta give the CT Whale coach a lot of credit because he worked with kreider on all parts of his game. I think he is gonna have some good years ahead despite wjat happes to the rangers this season
Ha.
For me, its the opposite. I think Chris Kreider is a microcosm for this team's issues. Talent is there, consistency is not.

I meant more on the side of getting in the teams face, annoying them, then producing. I know they aren't comparable skill wise, but Kreider has the potential to be that thorn in the side that throws players off their games.
I personally didnt mind kreider going down because i think it lit a fire under him and he has been arguably one our best players since coming back. My problem is that Torts seems to favor miller over kreider. Kreider has outplayed miller for a while nowI give the Whale coach credit for simply playing him. I think he would have worked through his issues in NY, had he stayed up but Torts has no patience for some players.
I agree man.I personally didnt mind kreider going down because i think it lit a fire under him and he has been arguably one our best players since coming back. My problem is that Torts seems to favor miller over kreider. Kreider has outplayed miller for a while now
so Kreider with a whole 4 minutes tonight...
Fact is, Zuccerello came to town and took his spot. And fact is, Zuccerello deserves it much more then Kreider.
He should be sent down again and get the big minutes, not that he really did anything wrong, but we have someone who has come in and took his spot.
Or send Miller down and give Kreider his minutes. But Torts seems to love Miller.

we're battling to make the playoffs, we're not going to cuddle these kids.. best will play and we need Ws, cant afford mistakes.. standings are wayy wayy to tight..
and please stop with that.. its how miller plays not his lovvvvee for him..he hits more, is more defensive.. plays Rw LW Center.. stop that crap, no way shape or form true!!
I agree on his more physical game, I like the way Kreider plays when he's engaged and after it.It's like Stepan. He has really stepped up in general this year, but Stepper is always at his best when he's playing a physical, engaged game. I think it's true for lots of guys.
The other point on Kreider playing chippy is that Torts will appreciate him more if he's getting involved in things. Miller makes a ton of mistakes, but it's usually from being aggressive and trying to force things. I think Torts can live with that. Kreider gets himself in trouble when he's passive and withdrawn. I think the team is okay with mistakes of aggression, which is kind of a reflection of the coach.
Kenny Gernander. He's been one of the most consistently-reliable pieces in the NYR organization.Despite a lot of negative vibes the rangers are giving to our fans there are a few positives. kreider is the biggest positive. He has played like we expected him to since coming back. Gotta give the CT Whale coach a lot of credit because he worked with kreider on all parts of his game. You can see why, in a sense. Miller already has that 'swagger' and attitude Torts likes to see out of guys. I had Miller pegged a little wrong, I think he is a 2nd line player with 1st line potential. Before I thought he was a middle six guy who would never suffice for the first line but play a bangers game.I personally didnt mind kreider going down because i think it lit a fire under him and he has been arguably one our best players since coming back. My problem is that Torts seems to favor miller over kreider. Kreider has outplayed miller for a while now
Yeah I want an unbiased answer to this question, has he really deserved his ****** placements and benchings over these last two games? Cuz I sure as hell didn't think so. I thought he looked great every game back up until last where he wasn't playing long enough to tellCan somebody tell me why he is in the dog house?
Can somebody tell me why he is in the dog house?
both he and miller have been guilty of bad coverages and terrible giveaways.
it's not surprising that they were benched....but you gotta live with those mistakes. it's just how it is with kids.
Miller and Kreider aren't a problem if Richards, Nash, and Gaborik are scoring at PPG places each. Fact is only Nash has played at that pace, if Gabby and Richards are scoring at their pace, we're in the 4-5 hole and those kids are given a little more time and space to learn stuff. With games being as important as they are, you gotta dole out the time to the guys who will win the games for you.
I am not going to judge between the 2 of them, but I saw Miller with more TO's than Kreider. I still cannot figure out Kreider has never left the dog house even after he was called up.
