What is so funny? Chairot alone = 1st +. If we add Allen, who is signed for another season at reasonable salary and take on Mrazek's contract, thats easily a fair return.

Something around Neighbours. Please.Someone will pay a 1st for Chiarot. Maybe not the Leafs or the Canes, but somebody. Would not be surprised if it's St. Louis, who genuinely need one more LHed top-4 D. He's a player that becomes far more effective when the pace slows in the postseason. See the last playoffs as the prime example.
Because hockey is played on the ice not on a computer chart.
Politely, that's an easy pass. What is so funny? Chairot alone = 1st +. If we add Allen, who is signed for another season at reasonable salary and take on Mrazek's contract, thats easily a fair return.
Honestly, sometime when I look at those chart I'm really asking myself what they are talking about. Especially for Dmen.lol what do you think the chart is talking about?

Chiarot isn’t getting a first let alone +. If that was the case he’d be gone by now. A better player in Manson just moved with half retention for a 2nd next year and a B/c prospectWhat is so funny? If you think both will retain their values over the 5 year terms (hypothetical in Chiarot's case) of their contract, age doesn't really matter in this context. If you think Chiarot will decline to the point of being worse than Risto in year 4/5, then maybe reconsideration is warranted.3 years difference between them, though.

Can you explain the logic behind this statement?Chiarot isn’t getting a first let alone +. If that was the case he’d be gone by now. A better player in Manson just moved with half retention for a 2nd next year and a B/c prospect
He chose to lift his NMC to go to Colorado.Chiarot isn’t getting a first let alone +. If that was the case he’d be gone by now. A better player in Manson just moved with half retention for a 2nd next year and a B/c prospect
heck no, what a terrible move this would be for doug armstrong. he's typically a smarter gm than thatSomething around Neighbours. Please.
Why hang onto an asset risking injury or a change of heart/direction from your trade mate when you’ve gotten your asking price? Can you explain the logic behind this statement?
That B/C prospect is rated as equivalent to a 1st rounder by some, so it's very subjective.... which means we need to be cautious in our analyses.Chiarot isn’t getting a first let alone +. If that was the case he’d be gone by now. A better player in Manson just moved with half retention for a 2nd next year and a B/c prospect
First, Chairot is better than Manson, one has been declining while the other is at the top of his game. Secondly, Manson is only the first domino to fall, the prize will go up for Chairot and Lindholm. Some folk will look really bad on this board, Chairot easily returns a 1st or the equivalent of a 1st. Expect 1st +Chiarot isn’t getting a first let alone +. If that was the case he’d be gone by now. Where is helleckson rated as a first rounder? Literally not once have I seen thatThat B/C prospect is rated as equivalent to a 1st rounder by some, so it's very subjective.... which means we need to be cautious in our analyses.
Also, part of the reason rentals are moved late in the year is for acquiring teams to have accrued enough cap space.
Not me. Chiarot in 4-5 years might have gotten slow. To put it otherwise, the 3 years Chiarot was in Montreal are still to be played for Risto. If you think both will retain their values over the 5 year terms (hypothetical in Chiarot's case) of their contract, age doesn't really matter in this context. If you think Chiarot will decline to the point of being worse than Risto in year 4/5, then maybe reconsideration is warranted.
Given the track record of both, I take Chiarot for the next 5 years over Risto for the next 5 years given similar AAV.

As long as it's not Toronto....have at it.First, Chairot is better than Manson, one has been declining while the other is at the top of his game. Asking price is higher than a 1st alone. Why hang onto an asset risking injury or a change of heart/direction from your trade mate when you’ve gotten your asking price?

Well, I feel like Toronto is the team that would benefit the most of having a solid shutdown defenseman like Chairot, but its up to you, thats a matter of priorities I guess. As long as it's not Toronto....have at it.
