Why Prag? They are having a bad season. Rögle is on fire.
But Prag is good in CHL! In groupstage ahead of Växjö and in K.O. they beat SAIK. They are a dangerous contender for SHL-Teams. I bet for RBK, but i would be not surprised, when Sparta get through.

I agree the league is very soft, the far more concerning part imho is that the cheap shots increase. Stunts what goons like Herzog and Barberio produce (blind side hits, cross-check to the head etc.) are inacceptable and are unfortunately not punished. The league did not become more physical but way dirtier

totally agree.......

Tappara is still a lucky bag. Beat Växjö but don't win against Rouen.

Cinderella run in the making.
Tappara is willing to send 4 of their players to the EHT, thus missing the second game. Tells you a little something about the marching order... Though I think it is pretty obvious that for an individual player EHT is more important than the CHL. Definitely opens up a very nice window for Rouen for an upset. Wouldn't that be financially pretty great for them aswell? The price money starts to get quite significant, specially for a team like Rouen, their player bugdet for a season cannot be alot more than 500k looking at the roster.

Again, they have been completely outplayed in the first game, Rouen's chances of winning are still minuscule. If anything, they are likely to get completely crushed in the 2nd game.

3.5 million euros is their budget, presumably 1.0-1.5 to player salaries. Roughly the same as Jukurit in Finland.

Yeah, I watches the game, tight in numbers, not so much on the ice...

Huh. Well just goes to show how little the player budget seems to mean in the end. Same budget as my hometown team Ässät, yet probably not many players that would be of any use in Liiga even in the lower lines. Let alone players like Kärki, Salminen, Lalonde. Söderström...They probably overpay domestic players compsred to their market price, which is the reason those central european teams have bloated budgets.

That being said the price money is still significantly for them.

That does not sound right at all. Why would guys like Leclerc ever leave France then? I mean we have France NT players signing in Denmark, Romania, etc. No way they would do that if French teams had that kind of money.

That figure was in Le Monde yesterday, they quoted the club president Thierry Chaix.
