I’m dedicating this thread to @Fenway since it seems like a topic he’d focus on.

I mean that as a compliment!

With the Centennial Season approaching, how does that impact the path that the Bruins’ front office pursues moving forward?

I’d imagine that ownership wants year 100 to be a big celebration, and the team on the ice being in contention for a playoff berth is probably a must for Charlie J.

That’s purely speculation on my part.

However, my hunch is that this blocks Sweeney from pursuing a rebuild by moving the likes of Marchand, Hall, Ullmark, and Lindholm to help recoup some of the draft capital they invested by going all in this season.

So the focus for this thread is how the Bruins’ branding, especially in terms of the Centennial Season, impacts the path forward for the franchise.

They are the best team in hockey in their own side of ice and top 10 on the other side

Why would they ever rebuild when they have a high end foundation set for the foreseeable future

Besides Swayman and Bussi why would people be excited about the Providence Bruins because that is where the rest of the players on that list will be. Lauko might be on the fourth line, which I endorse.
Lauko was brutal in the playoffs

How are people missing this

Anyone have any close cuts? I think Marco Sturm was probably a couple of healthy seasons away from making the list.
Maybe Ryder, Stumpl or Knuble but outside of them and Sturm, I think they got a great representation of each era

Lots of memories got awakened while reading this ...a true trip back into the history and legacy of the Bs franchise with an emphasis on the past 40-50 years

There will always be someone worthy who was close and didn't make it, but all in all this is a very strong compilation

Kessel's inclusion is pretty interesting. He was awesome at his peak with the Pens, but in Bruins history he's more in Vladimir Ruzicka territory. One very good season and a handful of very good playoff games.

Perhaps they could have done a Half Kessel/Half Seguin drawing. :sarcasm:
