Primeau is 25 now. Around the same age Montembault established himself as a backup at 23. Now at 27 Montembault is a solid #1 goalie. Both goalies are 6’3” 215lbs, but Primeau looks smaller due to his position. Primeau every time he lets a goal it seems like he loses confidence follows by multiple goals. It could be psychological, I don’t know I’m not a doctor.
Anyhow I can tell Primeau is no Carey Price, but I don’t think Primeau is an NHL goalie for some reason. Reminds me of Jim Carry or Andrew Raycroft back in the day.
As for Dobes it’s too early to tell. The guy is 6’4” 210lbs a little taller but looks huge in goal. Like there’s no room to shoot. He covers the net like Carey Price. His positioning is like Pekka Rinne.
What I’m saying is Primeau plays like he’s 6’ even though he’s 6’3”. Dobes is 6’4” but covers the net like he’s 6’6”.
On the other hand Juuse Saros who’s 5’11” covers the net like he’s 6’3”. Some goalies just looks bigger than others.
