Basically, the layout and backend are pretty well baked, so they might have bought it for that reason. What does this mean for me, a dumbass ? They liked how everything was already set up ?
There legitmately isn't any. That infrastructure could be recreated with about a few months' worth of paying webapp contractors, of which there are about eleventy billion out there all looking for work. That isn't the part that's actually valuable, but that's the part they paid for and they're effectively discarding the rest. Not sure what owning it and taking it offline does instead of just.. using it for free or paying a Sr dev to make you a custom UI that pulls from it's API.
Like I straight up don't understand the value of buying the site and then shutting it down to everyone when they could use it for free.
Im a web dev, offering to chip in
He just got burned out and sold it to GF, IIRC.
good on the capfriendly guys for getting paid, they deserve it. still f*** the Caps. the NHL should be doing this deal not a team for their own benefit.Everyone hating on the Caps should realize the Capfriendly guys are just as if not more culpable.
I'm sure their enterprise was viable as it was and they did not NEED to sell. But they took the payday. Many such cases.
That def. rings a bell.I thought it was a dual purpose thing - iirc he got a front office gig doing cap management for an NHL team at the same time.

How did u come up with this anyways? no they pay and buy the people who currently own it. Im assuming the guys that run it and coming along for the ride with the Caps.NHL Stats
The official source for NHL Stats including skaters, goalies, teams stats and more.www.nhl.com
You want the NHL to run CapFriendly when they can't even figure out a simple stats page?
LMAO.
So you’re more upset with the NHL or the Capitals? How did u come up with this anyways? no they pay and buy the people who currently own it. Im assuming the guys that run it and coming along for the ride with the Caps.
but the NHL should be the one buying this and keeping it the way it is for the fans
Watch them change it into something user unfriendly because reasons.Basically, the layout and backend are pretty well baked, so they might have bought it for that reason.
