It was quite clear his wrist/arm injury in the pre-season was serious and he was allowed to play until it worsened. I get letting the players have a say but we've seen too many instances of guys being put into a spot where their injuries or condition worsen: Ferland, Pettersson, Poolman, Hughes, Boeser.

Injuries will be used as Aquilini's excuse for not starting a rebuild this year when in reality it just shows a lack of depth in the organization and a glaring need to rebuild.

Having Hughes out is big blow...as are simultaneous injuries to the D..Other than that, injuries haven't been that substantial IMO.
