The trouble with losing your first seven games, is that your next opponent doesn't want to be the team that succumbs and breaks the streak. When an NHL team is playing a bad team like the Canucks, it becomes an embarrassment to lose to them. I'm sure that motivated Carolina in the third period of Monday's game.

In the immortal words of Drew Doughty: "We lost to that team!?"

The Kraken are becoming a tough out at home.....and the Canucks are skating on egg-shells right now. Not liking the optics of this game.

My prediction we finally win today and score at least 4. We're not this bad if we can string a couple wins here and there we can turn this ship around.

Is it the gamblers fallacy to think the Canucks will win?
Yes.

I was playing roulette the other night with my buddies and I kept betting 13 to 24 / 25 to 36 thinking that it couldn't possibly keep landing on 1 to 12 that many times in a row. But it did. 7 times.

Martin jones not good so we win or he looks like a vezina candidate
To be quite frank, our offense is ass. Our defense cannot move the puck. He can play as bad as he likes, we're just not generating quality chances at even strength.

Man, I just got the old timer award on here. Through all the disagreements, and disappointments I’m glad I can share my opinion with all. Things in my life are particularly hard right now, but at least I can come here to share in the joys and misery of Canuckdom with you all.

Here’s to a better result against the Kraken

I dont want to say its a guaranteed win because after awhile, losing streaks take on a life of their own..In everybody's heads..players and fans.

Hopefully they catch a break tomorrow...

I've been a miserable **** ever since the season started, the losing really gets to me. The Raiders haven't been hot themselves but at least they won on Sunday to curb my sports fandom.

I mean, the more pressing problem is you watch tape on this team and you can basically shut them right down. Any half-decent, structured NHL team should be able to control the Canucks at even strength. The defense literally cannot transition the puck. The video review would also show the team folds like a cheap tent when you lean on them.

Does this team know they are getting slaughtered in the press? Do they even have a pulse to even care? Like the fans know what's going on and we are not stupid.

I'm gonna feel bad for Bieksa if we don't have a win come November.3rd, it's his time to honour his retirement and this version of the Canucks reminds me of a burnt out SUV in a Vancouver alleyway.

We're going to win. I think Demko looked a bit better in the last game against arguably the best team we've faced, and he gets some more off time to work with Clark this next week or so.

That's assuming he starts Thursday instead of Friday
Hopefully we see a nice performance by Demko. Otherwise we might have to get you in there.

Still got it, Mossey?
