Yeah, I've liked D Petey so far, but it's one thing to play well for awhile at the NHL level, and another to be a regular staple in the NHL. It's part of why I might have kept Soucy as well until we are sure the younger players are ready.
Forbort is useful as a 6/7 and is on a good contract. Need to keep some vet d around if we manage to make the playoffs.

With Hughes injured, EP's struggles and a strong sellers market...they should put the idea of playoffs to bed and look to next season....if they make them, fine...but don't give up good opportunities for bad ones.

Schenn has another year left at 2.75, is a worse player, and will be 36 next year.

I like that trade for the Leafs I don’t care what the Jfresh cards says Laughton is a good player getting him for less than a first with the extra year and retention is a good deal.
