Time and time again, we see that this is just a dumb organization run with a pathetic mindset, regimes come and go and this is the one constant. It's gotta be a mandate from ownership.

From a business standpoint, it's a common practice to try and pursue immediate returns. Aquilini is close to a playoff spot and any post-season revenue is better than no revenue. Who knows what the hell will happen next year. Quinn Hughes demands to leave? Weak Canadian Dollar? League stoppage? World War 3?

Anyone thinking this team was going to fold and sell players for picks and prospects are out of their minds. Management has never settled with keeping picks for the draft. They were probably trying to broker another deal involving a player that could help us out now. Unfortunately the prices are just sky high.

Issue is, even if they move Boeser there’s little time to make any replacement deals.

For a club that should be competing, they moved Necas and Drury for that package. Hurts them going into the PO. Slavin, as we saw in the 4N is maybe the best pure Defender. Aho is a good offensive forward. Window for them is the next couple of seasons. Aho is turning 28. Slavin is like 31 or 32 this year. Carolina always stays competitive, but always lack something.

For the Canucks, this isn't the time of year where hockey trades are made. You are moving vets/ufa to be for futures.
