My hope is they’re getting calls from Tulsky and the trade hasn’t come through yet because they’re still laughing at him on the phone

We've all seen this movie play out before. Would be pleasantly surprised if it goes the other way, but it's looking unlikely.
What are you talking about? The Canucks have probably made the most trades in the league in the last calendar year

Are you referring to the current management group or are you going back 9 years ago with Hamhuis at the deadline?

You don't actually have to go there to read them here though do you?

Not at all wasted. We'll need every single drop of space next season. Obviously no point in wasting a bunch on this season.
What do we need the space for?

Everyone and their dog has space come the offseason.

Rantanen already off the table.

It’s insanity to have space and not use it.

Expecting players to come here just cause is the Guentzel situation all over again.

jets and stars front runner to win the west

Then theres avs, vegas and wild. Oilers chances to go back to finals just got slimmer

Totally different circumstances on moving Boeser vs those deals though, isn't it? Those other moves were being made with playoffs in mind, this move would be a step back (A necessary one at that) - we've seen nothing to suggest that they're willing to do that other than "rumors" - actions speak louder than words, and seeing Boeser out there on the ice should be really telling about which way this situation is heading.

Stars look super loaded. But fortunes still depend on Heiskanen coming back for the playoffs. Going from Necas to Stankoven when you want to win now is a disaster class, Canes gotta so something with the picks asap

i don't disagree but you'd never trade two firsts and stankoven for necas (and drury). carolina got way better value ignoring they don't really want/need futures
Hard to disentangle with the Hall piece, but Carolina also gave up a bunch of picks for Rantanen. Suspect on net the extra they gave up offsets one of the firsts. Stankoven and a first for Necas and Drury feels about right to me.

I wonder if the Rantanen situation has been holding up a potential Boeser trade. We had almost traded Petterson to them as well prior to the Miller trade...and then there was Guentzel last year. They sort of f*** us over regularly in an indirect way lol.
