On a different note, am I crazy for thinking that Ottawa has a much better team than they have shown so far?

I mean they beat my Habs, the Leafs and the Jets. They have three budding stars in Chabot, Stutzle and Tkachuk and seem to play hard and their hustle is always there.

If their goaltending holds up, are there others who think that they may actually be competitive?

They might be competitive and play spoiler, but they are so far out at this point they'd need a heroic run to sniff the playoffs.

I just watched them against the Jets but their goaltender stole the game for them and Hellebuyck lost it for the Jets.

The North division has been the least interesting division to watch, imo. Some of that is because Sportsnet is broadcasting too many of the games, but it still lacks interesting hockey.

Eh, they make the most $ off those games.

Lol... still pretending that confused mess of an argument wasn't yours?

Keep tap dancing, dude. Your posts are there for all to see.
Are you living in an alternate reality? I honestly have no idea what's so difficult to understand for you. I wish I knew how to tap dance. My posts are quality. Your posts are questionable.

There is a difference when the puck hits the post because it's inches from going in the net, compared to a shooting wide and the puck completely missing the net.
Neither counts as a shot on goal cause they both missed. By thst logic you should count everything that the goalie saves, at least those had a chance to go in

It might not be credited as shot on goal when the puck hits the post or the crossbar, however it still counts as a scoring chance.

The only "Quality" your posts have is their ability to stumble in random directions and crash into themselves.

Funny but I feel like the Leafs will lose 2 of 3 against the sens..
i am hoping for 2/3. even though its Ottawa we cant expect to go into things expecting all 3 to be wins. i would be satisfied winning 2/3 especially considering Hutchinson likely draws in.

Funny, because you're the only one that complains of that. Maybe it's a you issue? Clearly, you're up in arms for literally no reason.

Believe me I know the Toronto media is a circus and the worst example was Steve Simmonds story about Phil Kessel buying a Hot Dog everyday outside his condo, even though that was proven to be false and he never apologized for writing it when being called out.
Nah Simmons has done worse, like calling noted cancer survivor Kessel a cancer in the locker room. Guy's a complete scumbag.

If it means anything last season when Toronto defeated Ottawa 2-1 in overtime, it was a game Hutchinson started.

yeah if there is any team Hutch can beat its Ottawa. im not saying he will lose us a game, but going into a 3 game set expecting to win all 3 games is probably setting yourself up for disappointment. We lost 1/2 last time we played them. you never know.

I completely agree, although if were being honest I'm sure there was some Leafs fans who expected them to win all three games they recently played against Vancouver. I'm not saying that's going to happen with their next three games against Ottawa and who knows we might see Andersen start all the games. I realize the second and third games are on a back to back, however it's not like the Leafs are having to travel in a normal situation since all the games are being played in Toronto.

yeah there is a chance we take all 3. but i would be surprised if Andersen started in all of them. Gotta give the guy a break at some point. Sucks Campbell isnt healthy to at least give us a legit option when Andersen is on the bench.

What about the thought how Andersen is a better player with the more games he plays. Although I think if Campbell was not injured he would have started a few more games, like when he played the first game against Calgary and that wasn't on the second night of a back to back.

21 seconds a game usually means that you're on at the dire end of the PK right before the guy leaves the box? Not so much killing the penalty but getting ready to go on offense?

pretty much….

we had someone on our forum claim that palmieri was such a valuable player due to the fact he killed penalties when in reality he doesn't unless guys are missing out of the lineup….and he's not good at all when he does

…but still…. he'll sign for 6x6 in the offseason in jersey too!…….some people
