It makes them about the same, average team with a couple of really good players.
Now, having said that, Edmonton will likely win the division but lose in the first round.
If Edmonton will likely win the division why have they lost so many games?

Im not saying they’re world beaters but someone will have to finish on top in that division and they have the two best players. Montreal is not very good either and Toronto will eventually go into a slump.

Jet fans ... I think many were anxious to see Dubois . Why hasn't the team played better? Thought for certain he would bring them a big edge.

Well he only played 2 games after having to quarantine for 14 days.
He looked pretty good and should have had a few assists in his second game as he set up several glorious chances that weren't completed.

Now he is hurt and we really don't know how long he will be out.
The guy apparently hasn't missed a game since midget and is hurt after 2 games with us...

Check back after he plays some games I guess.

Will the Canadian teams be the last man standing?

Of the 35 games postponed this season, none have involved North Division clubs

About 160 kilometres separates Toronto from Buffalo, N.Y., but when it comes to the NHL and COVID-19, the two cities are even farther apart. The Buffalo Sabres have seen head coach Ralph Krueger and nine players placed on the NHL's coronavirus protocol list and the team has been forced to reschedule 12 games.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have no players on the protocol list and have had no changes to their schedule.
Krueger, wearing an N95 mask, and defenceman Rasmus Dahlin returned to Buffalo's practice on Sunday. Forward Taylor Hall was back on the ice Saturday.

The tale of the two teams is an example of the contrast between what has been happening in the seven-team, all-Canadian North Division and the NHL's 24 U.S.-based clubs.

What a dumb way to start the article. The CAN/US border is closed except for only essential border crossings. The only main difference between the two places are also largely political. Though Ontario is being hit much worse than the rest of the country now.

Well yeah look at the population difference.

Aside from quality of the division the fact they've had zero cancelled games are also a big advantage. These teams that are missing so many games will have a really teririble schedule to make all these games up.
People ruling out the North champ against "Real teams" are missing the big picture. THe team will be more rested and ready to go

Are you living in an alternate reality? I honestly have no idea what's so difficult to understand for you. I wish I knew how to tap dance. My posts are quality. Your posts are questionable.
There’s no point arguing with him. He seems to forget the time he got caught trolling leafs fans and couldn’t do basic math. Lol. It was an epic disaster of back peddling. Got caught deleting posts and everything.

The Canada/USA border has been far from closed. That's just propaganda by Canadian government. You can't drive to the USA if you are going there as a tourist but you certainly can fly there.... and its a piece of cake to do so.... or fly anywhere else should you so desire.

Canadians continue to fly to Hawaii despite COVID-19 travel advisories

Coronavirus: 6.3M travellers entered Canada and didn’t have to quarantine

It'd be interesting to see the questions he was responding to. Draisatl is a very honest interview but that also means he's susceptible to leading questions. He never sidesteps those. It's not the first time his answers have led to some controversy.

It isn't propaganda at all.

I think that the ability for Canadians to be able to fly to the US is on the US government. They haven't stopped Canadians from entering the US by air.

The Canadian government has stopped Americans from entering Canada by air.

You would have a hard time banning Canadian citizens from leaving their country if they have a valid passport.
You also can't really keep your citizens from returning to their country if they are abroad.

21 seconds a game usually means that you're on at the dire end of the PK right before the guy leaves the box? Not so much killing the penalty but getting ready to go on offense?
Exactly.

There is a difference when the puck hits the post because it's inches from going in the net, compared to a shooting wide and the puck completely missing the net.
Neither are counted as a shot on net . So no there's no difference. The Goalie didn't have to make a save.

obviously I meant land borders. Unless you think people fly when traveling from Toronto to Buffalo. They certainly don't traveling from Vancouver to Seattle or any other major cities that border one another along the CAN/US land border.

Ok well, Leafs aren’t doing any damage this season.

Montreal, Winnipeg, Edmonton and Calgary..show us what you’ve got
Yes the Leafs blew the lead they had tonight, however it won't have any lasting effect on them the remainder of the season.

Hell why didn't you say the same thing about Winnipeg giving up the game winning goal against Ottawa last Saturday with 8 seconds left in the 3rd?

The Toronto Maple Matthews blow a 5-1 lead to the Sens and we can't have a main board discussion about it? Why not?

Everytime the Laughs do something good, half the threads in this subforum are about them. Then they blow a 5-1 lead and no one gets to talk about it.. Guess the mods are all Leaf fans.

Winnipeg lost themselves at least 1 point in the standings when Ottawa. Yes Toronto blew a 5-1 lead and there is no excuse for that. However besides Leafs hate which is the reason for that comment, I think both loses the Leafs and Jets had are equally bad.

Lmao. You’ve got to be kidding me. There are more critics of the Leafs on this board than any other team, bar none.

The thread wasn’t necessary because there’s already a couple of threads that are filled with the same thrashing of the Leafs.

Certain members of the board are foaming at the mouth any time something negative happens to Toronto.
