GDT: Canada vs USA

Some hot summer days, all I want is watery lousy beer. I get my neighbour to give me a few Buds. Actually and I am not kidding, sometimes it's good to have something just about halfway between water and real beer.
What’s real beer?

Honestly, beer snobs are the complete worst.

I’d rather crush a Budweiser or 12 over some Raspberry, Cranberry super sour possum snot IPA.

every country makes beer. it's impossible to say which is best. its more like its what you KNOW.
dont worry Canada makes good beer too. If I want to wash down some food US beer works well for that and you wont get drunk unless you drink 12 MAYBE!.

Dogfish Head routinely makes 18% beers like their 120 Minute IPA.

This “US beer is weak” was probably true back in the 1980s.

Canada and the US both have great microbreweries, but if this was the beer championships, we'd get wiped by Czechia tomorrow ;)

It's often fun to find out what a good beer is from a certain place and drink it with food from there. Or better yet, have it with people from there. It helps bridge some of the foolishness of things like people crapping on different nations.

Don’t act like the Czech won some huge game against Canada. It was the first game of the tournament. And don’t act like Sweden isn’t a shell of what they were last year. That weak Fin team scored as many goals against Sweden as the Czechs managed to and that weak Slovakian team took Canada to OT.

USA was a very young team with very few returning players. I’m taking Logan Cooley over anybody on Czechia and everybody but Bedard. Revisionist history already because the Czech were lucky enough to not have to face Canada in the 2nd round.
Can I ask which D's you'd take over jiricek, svozil and Spacek? Being serious. I think all 3 would make Canada. Maybe Kulich at forward.

For the most part, the USA outplayed Canada everywhere except on the scoreboard. You might say that the USA got 'out-goalied'!

Refs let some things go on both sides, however that too many men no call was outrageous IMHO. In international hockey you. can't interfere with the goalies what-so-ever, so I wasn't surprised by the 2 goals the USA had called back.

This squabbling over cheap domestic beer is almost funny if it wasn't for the point that AB InBev runs most of it for both nations.
Not in Canada it doesn't , Canadian beer companies are some of the biggest in the world. AB doesn't even make beer here

Reading this post game USA- Canada brings me back in the 80's.... Hockey was all about beer over here!!!! Molson against O'keefe.
Back on topic... Canadian goaltending was the story of this game. Wish our boys a gold medal!!! Go Canada

The old joke, "How is Coors light like making love in a canoe?"

"It's almost f***ing water!"
I do know that my friend returned from the Czech Republic (sorry, that's what I still call it so I hope I am not banned) and just stated that if you like beer, you need to move to a European country that understands not only how to brew it, but how to store it, serve it etc.
Makes me want to visit.
I guess I should mention hockey in this message to make it legit, so would say they love hockey and beer there.

What is the point of an 18% beer? If you don’t like the taste and just wanna get drunk then just guzzle hard liquor.
