Only needs 14 points in 3 games.4 points tonight against sweden
No, it's not, but I'm amazed how close he will come.Only needs 14 points in 3 games.
It's not happening.
He puts up 6-7 points against Slovakia and it's looking very doable.Only needs 14 points in 3 games.
It's not happening.
He's been great. No doubt about it.Bedard has 18 points. Guenther, Wright and Stankoven have 20 points combined.
He has 17 points in his last 3 games...No, it's not but I'm amazed how close he will come.
Early developement also a factor.I know you don't want to hear this but what Bedard is doing at 17 is more impressive than what Forsberg did at 19. That doesn't diminish what Forsberg did and how he dominated that year.
Everybody forgets how dominant RNH was in the year of the lockout and he's not even going to make the HHOF- that's how big of an advantage being 2 years older is at this tournament.
No, I don't think bedard is going to beat Forsberg's record this year, but to say Forsberg had tougher competition is just silly. Japan had the worst showing of all time at the tournament that year. Austria has been terrible but Sweden only beat Germany 1-0.
Canada has to be the current favourite. Game one actually may have helped this team focus. If Canada pulls this one out thanks to the one man wrecking crew that is Connor Bedard - I'm just love the HF meltdown. It's going to be epic.

Doesn't Lindros have the all time Canada WJC scoring record...Early developement also a factor.
And there isba lot of good players that hadnt a dominant jwc, but became superstars later. So just numbers isnt the right way.
Lindros didnt set the jwc on fire, but became a star anyways.
I came away very impressed with Helminens 24 points, that sure sticks out. Underrated player.
I recall lindros playing as 16,17,18,19. All four years.Doesn't Lindros have the all time Canada WJC scoring record...
All Bedard hypers getting sour about others saying Crosby and McDavid where stronger talents. Is Bedard unpopular?
To my knowledge Bedard is kinda “supposed to be” a better prospect as a first overall than let’s say Stamkos, but below Sid or Connor.I recall lindros playing as 16,17,18,19. All four years.

And people gets angry at me for saying that his game will have a harder time to translate to NHL than other supreme talents. I think Stamkos is an equal level, a fair comparable. Stamkos was very much speed and smart puck management, that translates well. Bedard is much using his strength toncover the puck and making toedrags to get through. And I doubt NHL defenders just stares at the puck the same way as juniors. To my knowledge Bedard is kinda “supposed to be” a better prospect as a first overall than let’s say Stamkos, but below Sid or Connor.
I have no way to know. I see he isn’t huge and I see he isn’t like a Quinn Hughes skater, but I see a supreme skillset and understanding of hockey. And people gets angry at me for saying that his game will have a harder time to translate to NHL than other supreme talents. Also players, who had monster tournaments, yet dissapointed as players.. Just look U-18 top scorers for this tournament.. (single) Everyone on that list is avesome... everybody except nr.5 ....Early developement also a factor.

If Bedard do pots over 25 points, that would be historic and surely be something. He has now three games to put up 14 points, thats an unfair task. If he scored two more points agains Czech, it would had looked easier.
I miss Michkov thou, I imagine he could pot up ridicolous numbers as well.

His swede pace would put him within 2.No, it's not but I'm amazed how close he will come.
His swede pace would put him within 2.
25? He is another planet hereAnd needs a 4.7 PPG over the next 3. (if we play 3) to beat the record. I'm still saying no chance. But I'm amazed he has gotten this far.
Lindros was such a weird example, he scored 17 points as a 17 year old and led Canada to a gold. He had an underwhelming tournament as an 18 year old showing up sick and without going to camp, but his 17 year old WJC is possibly the best ever. Or, maybe was the best ever depending on how things go.Early developement also a factor.

I think Stamkos is aboyt the same level if everything goes well. Stamkos is rightly built. Bedard is just 1,78.To my knowledge Bedard is kinda “supposed to be” a better prospect as a first overall than let’s say Stamkos, but below Sid or Connor.
