Lombardi needs to make a move before this season is lost. Both for shock value to wake these guys up and to improve the team.

Dean and Sutter can't continually expect Doughty to play 30+ minutes a night. He's going to be gassed by the end of the season.

This team needs a change and I still believe it starts with guys like Richards, Stoll, and Greene (even if he had a goal tonight)

Is my statement factually false? Why is everyone coming after me over this?

We have issues. I get it. I see more reasons to be positive than negative even tonight. This stuff is fixable and I'm keeping the faith. Not forcing anyone else to.

Good man.

To hell with the non-believers.

They didn't look good for stretches in 2012 and 2014 but as usual people here have short memories.

They had a great game tonight and ran into a red-hot goaltender. What are you going to do? We got a point, and we are still moving forward.

Harsh reality slap in the face.

Yep, this team is one hot line early in the season away from being one of the worst teams in the league. Winning 14 of 38 isn't just a little slump. Also, the Kings are one of the worst road teams in the NHL, and their schedule has been heavily front loaded with home games

Honestly I don't even give a **** at the point. They'll make the playoffs, probably get smoked in the second round, and recharge in the offseason.

I can see Stoll being moved. He is only good for face-offs and I'm not sure he is that good this season (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

The one thing he has been consistent on is crucial late-3rd period penalties. I can set my watch to it. He is money. Dead-on money.

Why be mad at Voynov until we find out with certainty what happened? I mean god forbid the guy be innocent. Not saying he is but then again none of us know what actually happened and last I checked he is still a King. Jeez.

Regardless if it was his fault or not, his family (that he brought here) did some stupid **** that brought the attention of the law, harmless or not it definitely hurts the team.

Though at this point we have to move on and forget about him and just assume he's not a player because he won't be back in a long time. Even if he is innocent, he's way out of shape.

14-14-12 other than the 6-0 home stand to start the year. 40 points in 40 games. They've been living off the first home stand for a while now. This one canceled the first one out.

6 of the next 7 games on the road, where of course the Kings haven't been good all year. The 1 home game is against the Hawks, who have already beaten the Kings at home this year. The first game after this road trip coming up is against Calgary, and we've seen that movie a couple times already this year too.

Now it's crunch time. The Kings have put themselves in this position, and the next 8 games will define the rest of the season. They can't suck. They can't not score. They can't give up too many goals on few shots.

We've been waiting for this all year long. It's 0-3 against SJ. It's down 3-2 to Anaheim. It's down 2-0 in Chicago in Game 7.

Pretty much what I was thinking, it will largely depend on WPG/Van/Cal as well.

If those three teams play 600. hockey in the next eight games, and the Kings play 450. or below (which they have been for the past 15 games).

The season is over, the Kings would have to play 650.+ hockey to finish the season to even make a wild card spot.

Too many teams to jump.

Smoked by Anaheim? Doubt that.

But I do seem them getting smoked by Chicago. Because let's face it: Nashville and Winnipeg are great regular season stories so far, but in the end it's gonna be LA-CHI in the WCF again.

Pekka Rinne would have to come back healthy, and strong for the Preds to make a serious push.

Define "stretch".

Also "red hot goaltender". He didn't have to make any great saves tonight.

To me watching Stoll this season, he can't come up with that clutch faceoff win but like you said is money to take a bad penalty at the worst time.

Outside of that nice strech he had when he scored the OT goal against Anaheim, he's caused more problems than positives to me.

This was a great game. I always get a kick out of watching a hot goaltender, and Ortio had it going all night. To be beaten by Greene of all people is the absolute NHL troll job in all its glory.

One bad mistake but that's all it took for CGY to tie it up.

Loved the 3 on 3, can't see why the NHL would rather go with a shootout then a degraded OT system (4 on 4, 3 on 3, 2 on 2, even 1 on 1).

Kings looked good tonight. Can't win them all. It's hockey. Some of you guys forget we won three OT games in the Stanley Cup Final last June.

Remember?

Dean might not be able to fix this roster in season this time.

I don't see a GM dumb enough to take Richards in a trade. They all went to school when the Rangers traded Gomez. I think it's buyout time in the off season for Richards.

The only good thing about the Toffoli and Pearson situations is that they likely won't command the salaries they would have received had they stayed healthy all season. If, and it's a big if Voynov rejoins the team and returns to form, Dean may be able to reload and the Kings will have a chance to contend again next season.

Big decision on Williams is coming. If he won't re-sign, Dean has to deal him.

I don't know, I mean we don't know what really happened so I am willing to wait and give the benefit of a doubt about who did what or what is or isn't the truth in the Voynov thing. I thought I read that he continues to work out and is remaining in "game shape" but I could b wrong. Also that doesn't mean he can just come back and be effective. I won't forget about him until he is no longer part of the team officially. As for the rest I am hoping we have him back in time to make the playoffs, same goes for Pearson and Toffoli as far as that goes. I guess I am just willing to believe in the best possible outcome and go from there.

Solid game by regher after missing all that time. Gotta get that power play goin

Yeah! Big nasty Regehr back!!!!

It really isn't the players fault at this point.... I mean what was Greene doing on the ice 3v3? Um that's asking Greene to do a whole lot of skating.... Same with Williams 4v4... small/slow don't work well when you have to cover lots of ice and win 1v1 battles....

Solid game.... Kings played well. Bring on the Guppies!!!!

Oh yeah Greener coming through on the first goal of the game for me!!!!!

If we make the playoffs, we're winning the cup because it means we're going to go in hot (we have to if we want to make the playoffs).

Just like the SJ series last season. Once we turn it on and battle through adversity, slowly learning from our mistakes, we're rolling through everyone, regardless of regular season.

Define "stretch".

Dude, 2011-12 was worse than anything we've seen this year. Surely you can't forget November thru February of that season? My God was that brutal.

We haven't gotten that far yet. We will be fine. Keep the faith.

I don't think the Kings ever played 14 of 38 bad in 2014, so no need to keep bringing up last season.

2012, the Kings did have stretch of Nine consecutive losses, and 12 of 14 ? that Got Murray fired.

But that all happened early in the year, late November, early December.

The Kings under Sutter from mid December on, played respectable hockey.
