Most traction this threads ever gotten and it's about silly semantics . HF never change.
i’ll say .75 ppg in the AhlHe justs keep getting points. Now up to 40 points in 44 games.
I'm curious as to how he translates to the AHL / NHL ice.

That would blow me away. He plays the antithesis of Grand Rapids hockey, so I think he's going to relatively "struggle", if ends up in the AHL.i’ll say .75 ppg in the Ahl
I hope he is going to play in Detroit next season.
The Wings need talent badly and I think he's going to make an immediate impact (at least on the powerplay)
But your best players are the foundational pieces of your top lines. If Bertuzzi is a foundational piece of your first line, you have the league’s worst first line.
His totals the last 2 years... 47 and 48. The year prior he had 24 in 48.Lol Bertuzzi hasnt been on pace for under 50 points in like 3 years. We're gonna call him an average 40 point guy now?
Bertuzzi iant getting anywhere close to 70pts ever and I'm bookmarking this when he doesn't come close to it in the future. This might be the most icetime and PP time that Larkin ever gets but if you think he's currently scoring at his peak potential you have a very different view of him than me.
Brome is a good example of a skilled guy getting fed top line minutes and not being able to produce. It's NOT a benefit for scoring to play on the Wings top line. Very few players can handle it.
Maybe Bert's icetime will be reduced in coming years but his numbers will likely improve. Again, expecting guys like Bertuzzi/Larkin to factor in on ~50% of team scoring is ridiculous. They're not going to get 70 points on a team that scores 140 goals.

Hes a great player to have but no where close to the skill level to reach that point. On a good hockey team he's not getting PP time, especially not PP1.

Please explain to me how he isnt a 40 TO 50 pt player?
Exactly on bad teams where he will never get that time againBecause last season ended 12 games early due to covid? We're just not gonna take that into account?
Describing him as a 40 point player implies hes a lot less productive than he actually is, hes a legit top 6 forward that has paced for like 55 points the last two seasons on bad teams

I understand pace if youve proved otherwise, but a guy like Bert who hasnt ever put up over 50pts isnt a 50+ guy until he shows it.Because pace is magical. Unicorn shit. I’m with you. You aren’t something until you have actually done it. If you need to bust out the word pace, you’ve already lost.
Apparently he should stay on the 1st line with Berggren.I guessWhy are we talking about Bertuzzi in this thread?
You talk about it as if getting icetime on a powerplay scoring at 6% is some awesome opportunity.Bertuzzi iant getting anywhere close to 70pts ever and I'm bookmarking this when he doesn't come close to it in the future.

And Bertuzzi isn't getting anywhere close to 70pts on any team ever and its idiotic to expect that. You talk about it as if getting icetime on a powerplay scoring at 6% is some awesome opportunity.
2nd PP time on a good team is much, much, much better for production than 1st PP time on the Wings.
Please don't expect huge scoring from Berggren or Raymond (or Zadina, or Mantha, or, or, or) until the team as a whole improves. No one scores 70 Points on this team (as evidenced by Larkin's scoring, the one guy who has proven he actually CAN score 70 Points).
I liked this thread better when it was about Berggren and not Bertuzzi.
If you need to be disingenuous, you've already lost. calling Bertuzzi a 40 point player because he scored in the high 40s while also not acknowledging that he played like 7/8s of a season in each of those seasons is definitely disingenuous. Not to mention he had 7 points in 9 games on this atrocity of a team to start the year and the moment he left the lineup our offense dried up completely from people he produces with.Because pace is magical. As for Berggren I think to play with Bertuzzi they would need a center that wants to shoot the puck a lot.
