Nowhere near the natural defensive awareness of Zetterberg.
I never compared his style to Zetterberg, just his production at the same age. His style is closer to Barzal/Nyquist

What'd he get suspended for?
He was injured quite a lot the last two years. That slowed him down. Not going to lie this prospect has really gone under my radar, I remember the Red Wings Drafting him but that’s about it. I was surprised to see that he is a PPG player in the SHL now as a 20 year old. What has been responsible for his huge increase in production ? Was he just not getting proper ice time or has his game developed a ton?
Another 2 apples yesterday. Is he the next pettersson?
Ppg is kinda impressive in the shl at such young age, isn’t it?

Not petterson's level, but he's in good company

That's pretty good company to keep. And I'm starting to worry about his size less and less with how quick he is at darting into gaps in the defense. Incredibly quick and shifty. I think he could very easily make the DRW next season and be a major upgrade on the 2nd or 3rd line.
To me he looks like a faster nyquist with a better shot. So it'll be interesting to see how he transitions.Realistically, what’s his upside? Could he be a 20-40 type guy? He certainly looks like he has the skill and smarts to be.

I would compare Berggren more to a winger version of Nicklas Bäckström. Cerebral type. Great puck carrier. Definitely someone that can run a powerplay and make a killing at it. Has some definite issues in his game, despite his point production I would still not rush him to NHL.That's the part I'm not sure about. There's some similarities in his game and Nils Hoglander's game. Small, speedy wingers with exceptional puck skills. Hoglander is better defensively but not as good offensively as Berggren.
Maybe a better version of Hirose? The kind of guy that gets 15g 35a per season and is pretty lethal on the powerplay. Or maybe he becomes what we hoped that Gustav Nyquist would become; a consistent 60+ point winger.
