I much prefer him over his brother, Ryan.

I think 0.75 ppg in the AHL next year would be a successful season for him. Anything above that is a bonus.
That was what I projected him to be around points wise in the AHL next year. I like him better than his brother too. Ryan has better skating ability, but doesn't go to the net and other dirty areas or know how/when to utilize his shot like Nick.
Three question marks and an lol at the possibility of a guy playing in the AHL as a 20 year old. That's aggressive.

He can do that and still become a superstar.
He's an admitted "stat sheet scout" that makes very bold predictions based on that.

he's actually looked better than Kotkaniemi last pre-season. I think one of poehling or suzuki make it out of camp - but suzuki can play wing...not sure poehling can. And poehling is stuck behind domi, KK and danault...so i expect suzuki to make the team as a top 6 winger

Both can play wing and W.

Suzuki with another great game

Still say he and Poehling be better off starting year in AHL and being midseason callups if they are indeed dominating and there's space.

I agree 100%, it's easy for the fans to get excited (especially since we are starved for young offensive talent) but our management shouldn't rush all of our top players because Price and Weber's competitive window is narrowing. It's rare that you can fix a mistake by making another mistake...

Oh maaaaan. Do i love this kind of player. Intelligent and cerebral as hell. Pretty good hands. Average speed but it doesn't manner when you have that kind of IQ. Is it me or he can be a future Plekanec but with way better hands??

This thread was buried pretty deep, hate to bump it but just wanted to say this is one of those win-win trades. Knights got a great player in Pacioretty who is having a huge rebound year and leading his team in scoring. Habs got Tatar (also leading his team in scoring) as well as Suzuki who already has 19 points on the season.

His vision is just amazing, the plays and passes he makes are beyond what most people expected I imagine, he thinks and sees the game like a veteran. Excited to see him progress, would not at all be surprised to see him as our #2C next year.

He's going to be sooo much better than Plekanec

Jesus, I did not realize Olofsson was producing as much as he is.

Habs don't play their prospects/young players nearly as much. The current top 2-3 contenders (minus Makar /Hughes as they're D) all play 4-6 minutes more per night than Suzuki. None the less, I think it's Makar's to lose at the moment, what he is doing is more impressive than the others.

I expect Suzuki to finish with a very solid 40-45 point season which is great production for a 1st season and should improve over time (and if Habs surround him with talent).
