Agreed. Perfetti is the smartest player on the ice which will translate to the next level, that's what makes him so safe, not his size or skating. We will see how the season plays out, Holtz and Raymond will have opportunities like WJC that Perfetti won't have. That won't necessarily make them better prospects though so I can see Perfetti going as high as #2.All the talk about his size and not fast enough is crazy. The kid put the team on his back today and proved the crazy talent he possesses. He was the only one to get a puck past arguably the best young goalie at this age group. Lennox being right up there as well. The wow factor is why you draft a player like Perfetti. If he does slip in the draft the team who drafts him will be dancing a jig. I see him know as a top 3 to 7 pick. Talent, shot, soft hands, positioning, passing he has it all. Skating is better than last year, so if he can get better every year nothing to ***** about.
Classic example of how wise of a player he is. That early cut to the middle to shield himself from the poke check.
I'm not worried about his skating at all. He has mechanics issues, his technique is poor. That's quite fixable, a season with a skating coach will fix that. His initial power seems good enough, nothing crazy but passable.
I worry more about skaters who can't generate skate power.

Something that occurs to you watching Perfetti play: He excels in a "half court offense" Not just extended zone time in a powerplay situation-5 on 5 too. He can pick apart a defence even when they're "set".

36 SOG this season, 1 goal so far, almost 40 goals last season. He has 10 points in 8 games so far
11 points in 8 games.
I haven't watched him at all this season, but that's an extremely low shooting percentage. Any comments on his play?

How about his playmaking?Shoots a lot, from everywhere, good and bad scoring chances, just can't score.
How about his playmaking?
That has him with 10 assists and has been good moving the puck on the PP. Cole sees the ice well and always is looking for that quick pass or shot in the offensive zone. Just needs an elite center between him and Coskey. How about his playmaking?
