Back to Windsor as of today.

Its the right decision. He needs to complete his OHL time and a year in the AHL is what i would do with him.

Sens have ruined too many prospects by rushing them to the NHL

lolwut? Name one. I don't believe Lazar is in here imo. He just doesn't have much offence.

Yeah, here's a list of guy who have played for the Sens as a regular before their 20th birthday since 92'.

Cowen
Zibanejad (Lockout shortened, injury plagued season)
Karlsson
Lazar
Spezza (Spent his 19-20 year old season as a call-up from the AHL)
Havlat
Fisher
Hossa
Bonk
Phillips
Redden
Diagle

A total of 12 guys in 23 drafts.

Of those 12 guys, 2 turned out to be Hall of Famers (Hossa, Karlsson), 2 turned out to be super stars (Spezza, Redden), 2 turned out to be 1st line/pairing guys (Havlat, Phillips), 2 turned out to be 2nd line guys, who played ~1000 games (Bonk, Fisher), 2 turned out to have a couple hundred game NHL careers, but would be considered busts(Cowen, Daigle), and 2 are young guys in the league (Zib, who is already a 2nd line center and is likely to play 800+ games in the league) and Lazar, who is currently a 3rd-4th liner who has room to grow and is 21.

So, we've "rushed" guys, the narrative gets old fast.

Guys who started in their 20-21 year old season as regulars recently:

How old was Brian Lee when he started out with the Sens.

guys.. Brian Lee was drafted 11 years ago

Craig Hartsburg was Ottawa's coach when Lee played his 1st NHL season, what does that have to do with the current coaching staff?

One change I've noticed about Brown since he returned to Windsor is the grit he's added to his game. Critics have gotten on him over the last year for not really taking control with his size. His 74-ish points last year came rather quietly. This season, though, he's hitting more, creating more chances, and it's showing on the scoreboard. It's a welcomed change.

I was pushing for Canucks to draft him at 5, he seems like a player that is just going to improve and have a monster season.

From what i heard about him ,his dad didnt want him lifting weights until he had finished growing ....That kid on a weight program, with his size/skill could be very interesting. He was listed as 6.6 and 214 at sens camp

I think he's gunna be really good for the sens in the not so distant future. His speed and skill at his size is truly incredicle and rare

So far I still wish we had taken brown over Keller. I guess we'll see in the coming years, hope I'm wrong.

Hope you're right. I like Keller. ;)

But I agree, Logan Brown has massive , massive potential to be a star center. He's a 6 ft 7 guy who moves around and makes plays like a 5 ft 11 guy.

If you listen to his interviews, he's definitely a very driven kid, so its scary to think where he could from here. He comes from an NHL family, and knows exactly what sacrifices need to be made for him to be successful.

He's showing so far that it might have been a mistake to overlook a highly talented 6'7 centerman. I still can't believe the Sens were able to get him at #11 tbh.

His overall % isn't bad but he shouldn't be having many nights where he's 5/25, 12/32 or 8/24 on faceoffs. Hopefully he becomes more consistent in a positive way.

Yeah he's struggle in the dot, but that is pretty far back in the things I'm looking from him this year.

He's shooting more, so the goals/assists should get closer to each other as the season goes along.

100 points, even with the WJC, should be achieved the year.

That's Dorion and Randy Lee telling him "push the pace" "you have the size and skill, all you need is the drive". Awesome news, expecting big things from Big Brown this year!
