Yes for sure, I still expect them to go down though unless they really make an immediate impact

I dont even think Brown is ready to take faceoffs at an NHL level, it is probably the aspect of the game he most struggles with in the AHL

This is a surprise for me. A lot of times, players with this size are able to win faceoffs at a young age because they do not have to outsmart their opponent like the smaller players, they just have to outpower them.

Then again Brown still has to figure out how to properly use his size and gain strength. When he does that, he could be a great player.

They could use him as a winger this year, though.

Or put him with a guy like Zack Smith who can play both wing and centre and is strong on the dot, then switch positions after the faceoff so Brown can be the actual centre on the line. Young players struggling on the dot is nothing new so no need to worry about that.

He still lacks consistency, effort and willingness to battle . The same issues he's had snice he was drafted.

He was an extremely aggravating player to watch throughout his OHL tenure. Maybe throwing him into the NHL will provide a boost.

From the 5 games hes played in the NHL and the many AHL games its the same issue. A complete lack of pace.

He reminds me of Blake Wheeler when he was drafted. Lazy floater who thought he could get by on skill alone and looked like a bust.

When he started busting his butt with his elite skill he became a top NHL player. Hopefully Brown figures it out too

Yeah, he's a complete bum. Gets called up and plays his first NHL game in more than a year, on the roster that would barely qualify for AHL play-offs and he has the audacity not to win every FO he takes. Also, just one point in 5 NHL games, so total bust, should be waived...

Lol i never called him a bust. He has top end skill but unless he improves his hustle he will never amount to his potential.

Maybe they should trade for Lemieux. Seemed to get Brown going in the OHL. Could be a nice line with Batherson on the right side.

Could be anywhere from Joe Colbourne 2.0 to Ryan Johansen 2.0. Actually he has a lot of similarities with RyJo when he was a prospect.

He wasn't a bad player when he played up. I don't understand why they didn't keep him up. They need to accept that he's a cerebral pass-first big C and be ok with that. Let him work his magic on the PP.

I dont think they sent him down because he wasn't good enough; they've been very deliberately slow and steady with all of their prospects in the last 5 yrs or so besides Tkachuk. Given how much time Logan has missed, I think there's a lot of value to him developing and rounding out his game in the AHL before making the jump. He should be able to dominate AHL competition in all facets of the game, night in and night out. He certainly has the tools to do so and has shown he can do so for stretches. I am pretty confident he will make the jump fulltime before the end of next season.
