What happened to him, he hasn't played since the World Juniors. Haven't seen anything about an injury and googling brings up nothing of note

With another two points yesterday Pettersson is now tied with Wennberg and one behind Filip Forsberg for U19 points in Allsvenskan with games in hand. He's had some hot and cold streaks this season but his point production has been incredibly consistent.

Watching his highlights, he looks a lot like Pastrnak. Creativity and skill to spare with effective shot on top of that. Has he played center at all this season?

Yeh, not regularly but has played a few games at C. (maybe ~8-10 at a guess?)

He is actually pretty good on the draw from what I have seen too. And he can plays a solid two-way game. Would not surprise me too much if he ended up at C going forward.

36p in 36 games in mens league is very good as a draft eligible player.

Filip Forsberg, Mikael Backlund, Patrik Berglund could only score a few points in same age from that league.

2 more points (1g, 1a) already today and the game is not over.

His scoring rate is just absurd for his age... and people might doubt his ability to play C at next level, but not sure why.

He is great on the draw for his age, is a good 200ft player and has played more center in his draft year than pretty much any high end Swedish forward prospect in the last ~7 years!

I would not second guess myself if I was a GM and took him at #5 tbh.

Agree with all of this, don't see why you would ever put him on the wing honestly, his hockey IQ is off the charts. I think he's the best player in this draft.

His line with Jonathan Dahlen has scored Timrå's last 9 goals so I guess it would be stupid to split them. I think Pettersson is better suited at center though, as a playmaker he finds himself less involved when playing on the wing.

Finishes his regular season with 2 goals - playoffs start next week. Him and Dahlen have been split up the last few games to spread out the offense. Finished the season with 19 goals, 21 assists for 40 points in 43 games. Has to be top 5 by this point...

Can someone who actually watches Timra tell me who is the play driver on the Pettersen Dahlén line?

They both score at a similar pace when not on the same line. Dahlén is not on the same talent level as Pettersson but he generates offense with his motor and he shoots the puck at every chance he gets. Don't think any of them really drives the offense, they are just the two best players on their team being used on the same line.
