My observation from last night: definitely the most consistently dangerous player on the ice, made some terrific passes to his teammates who could not convert, and Bedard had his own lack of luck when it comes to finishing.

He continued to display his habit of being too ambitious in traffic. Even McDavid couldn't stickhandle his way out of some of those coverages, so Bedard will need to do a better job of slowing down at times and letting his teammates catch up to keep possession.

Edit: Before I forget, there was one penalty kill he was on where he pretty much killed the second half on his own. I'm not considering him a two-way player at this point but on a dedicated PK role, he has some potential.

By 9 pm, I've already been in bed for an hour. :sarcasm:

The link is perfect. Thanks!

That's fair. He also has an even bigger target on his back this year so... Let's hope he can live up to the hype.

He also started slow last year, I believe he wasn't even PPG by the WJC and still ended up with 100 points. Kid is money and will score in bunches again this year, not even worried one second.

Anyone figured out how to use this? Not working for me.

Man, the pats stink.
Wonder if they trade Bedard? This will almost certainly be his last season. They'd get an incredible haul for him.

I think the major difference here is the lack of anyone resembling a good offensive player on the Pats D. Last year, they had Evans and Svozil to move the puck forward for support.
