This is the exact comparison to Bedard.
He has the skating of Sidney Crosby but with an extra kick along with his physicality and poise being similar to Crosby's. Has the playmaking of Pavel Datsyuk.
Crosby's skating was never a great asset, it was his incredible lower body strength that allowed him to control play down low and see the ice while protecting the puck.
I don't see Datsyuk level playmaking at all. He seems solid in that regard but not Kane/Dats/Marner/Backstrom tier, let alone Crosby and McDavid.
Think he will probably need to learn how to disappear on the ice at the NHL level. I don't see the tools (yet) to be as effective as a player who always has the puck on his stick, but he's very young.
