Wrong. Dvorsky wasnt getting playing time
Also dvorsky is destroying at 18 ohl. When thomas was 19 he was winning a cup amd got 33 points in 70 nhl games and 6 points in 21 playoff games. Thats a 1c. No knock on kasper but alot 9f you have him as the next allstar top 5 1c. Thats just not him

He played 10 games, didn't register a point, and was clearly overmatched. I'm fine having some questions with Kasper based on his slow start in the AHL, but it's undeniable that in his D+1 year he was able to make it in the SHL. Dvorsky couldn't. It's great he's killing everyone in juniors, but it doesn't answer the question of how will he do against men.

If Det. decided to do a trade I cannot see the Blues getting kasper wallinder 1st. And I am a Blues fan. I think Wallinder+Berggren and a 1st would be more plausible.

There’s a lot more to that scenario than looking at results. Dvorsky was put on a team that is currently 7 and 31. Rogle made playoffs Kaspers season. Oskarshamm I believe was also fighting to not be relegated. They have a terrible team and didn’t beleive they had time to be patient with a younger player. His ice time was severely limited.

There are questions to Dvorskys game but he very clearly possesses some elite tools. Both great prospects. I don’t see the Blues really having a need for Kasper and I don’t see why Detroit would move him. I don’t think point production is necessarily Kaspers game which is fine.

fair enough! I actually wanted the Wings to take him when he was available, and I still think he's a very good prospect.

Got it. That certainly explains a lot.
Right...more like a top 8 Center....playing for a much worse team than all the other centers on this list...

TNT panel addressed the cost and possible destinations at 1st intermission tonight.

Quick recap. Boucher said lots of teams need him but three stand out: Edmonton, Vegas and Carolina. He talked more about the Oilers saying how it would give them more of a top 9. Biz said Carolina made the most sense. They all agreed "it would cost" but that didn't translate to anything specific. Concluded by saying Blues seemed like they didn't know which direction they were heading.

I can see Canes being interested, and would probably use a futures only deal if need be.

You may spend the next couple of pages arguing the contrary, but I think even you know that it's not realistic.

Yeah a lot of his proposals are pretty egregious. Earlier in this thread I think a Canes fan said something around 1st + Morrow (condition on willingness to sign in St. Louis) which I think would be basis a pretty fair return.

Nikishin would be the ask from Carolina, with a “sweetener” for the Russian factor.

Laugh all you want, he makes your team quite a bit better. A year and a half of Buchy while your window is wide open, or hold onto and wait for this guy while your core ages another year or two (or retires-Burns). This is an all in move they should make…

For Carolina Nikishin should totally be off limits. But, as a Blues fan, if I can get the green light from Morrow that he would sign at the end of this season, I would definitely be asking for 1st+Morrow+a roster player (not a Seth Jarvis, Drury, or Necas, but definitely someone that is more than a 4th liner)
