David Quinn should be fired sooner rather than later. This team is unprepared in every game, there is zero offensive flow, the pp is trash, and guys just dont give a shit. f*** this coach and get a real professional in here.

they are clearly better defensively as a team but it’s at the expense of offence . There has to be a happy medium

There have been probably three games and 5 points that we lost this season due overwhelmingly to the goalie, second Pens game, Devils game, and third Pens game. This wasn't one of those games, but Georgiev didn't have a good game. And he hasn't had one good game other than the Islanders game where he didn't have to break a sweat.

I mean the goals were marchand on a breakaway, I don't know if theres many in the league id put ahead of him on a breakaway. Another goal trouba blows a tire and the guy walks right out in front of the net. Those two I can't fault him on. Rask won them the game but Georgiev didnt lose it on us.

Buch is not a 1st liner, simple as that. Not enough skill, no finish. A very good middle sixer. Kreider too.

Kreider's a good support player and complimentary piece on a top line.

Buchnevich is way too inconsistent and not really good enough on a night to night basis.

1. PANARIN better not be seriously injured.
2. I begged for Gauthier to score his 1st NHL goal tonight. (See Gauthier thread)
3. That was an absolutely SICK pass by Fox to Gauthier.
4. That was an absolute SICK Goaltending play by FOX in O.T.
5. That was an absolute SICK exhibition by a defenseman that really should be renamed "Offdenseman". Highlight reel play, after play, after play. NBC proved such. He is amazing!
6. KAKKO is really coming on. THOUGHT he would score tonight, but now......its really just a matter of time before he "gets off" and slowly realizing he "will be" a star player in the NHL, like he has been everywhere he has played.
7. O.T vs the Bruins.....oh, what a surprise! Regardless of result.
7a. Was anyone surprised Marchand schooled Georgiev?
8. Lemieux, outstanding game. Assist, drew a penalty, numerous other good plays.
9. Rooney? Unquestionably a great signing along with Blackman.
10. Faceoffs. What in the hell are we practicing? I mean, are we? Where is Chytil when you need him? (Lol) Actually its Pathetic! Losing the FO in O.T. led to end to end, eventually their demise.
11. Strome.....good game, but damn dude. Multiple chances, open nets, clanging off the bar (2×?)
12. Kreider....how many times are you going to get minors TOTALLY CHANGING any momentum we have?
13. Howden is slowly "getting game". He looks faster, really good in the corners (me thinks) hustling and doing everything he is asked to do. We (me as well)) want him to get on scoreboard.
13. Oh yeah, and an "unnamed poster here" (FOR HIS SAKE) that unquestionably TOLD ME that Laf "would NEVER" play on PP1 OVER Panarin (or otherwise) well......they can kiss my grits.
Because THAT is EXACTLY what Quinn did, BEFORE Panarin getting hurt.......YOU know who you are. I WILL accept your apology, if you are man enough to do so.

So who comes out when Blackwell returns? My guess is Gauthier. Howden would look good in Hartford wolfpack blue.

Overall it was an okay-ish game. They were pretty good defensively. Georgie was fine. Good even. Trouba lost an edge and a guy was able to get completely alone in front for a goal. It happens. Battled back and got it tied. Got a point. Bad, predictable, laughable goal in OT. I feel like with a lot of Rangers games you can see the opposing goal developing like 6 seconds ahead of time. You just know when it’s coming.

Just sucks that each game at this point you’re like “maybe this is the game Z gets going” or “maybe Kakko gets a goal” or “maybe Laf gets a goal” or at least “maybe we win convincingly” and night after night it’s boring 1 goal games, mostly losses, where Rooney and DiGiuseppe are our best forwards. It’s not even the result that’s disappointing since I kind of expect a loss and don’t mind. I just want to see our stars and future stars play exciting hockey. I’d be happier to lose every game 5-3 and 6-4 at this point. I get that we’re trying to tighten up defensively and that we’re playing with a bunch of fill ins and kids. That’s why I’m fine with losing. I just wish the games weren’t dull and frustrating.

It's hard to fault Trouba on that goal because nearly everybody fell at one point in that corner. That ice should have been fixed.

We're at, essentially, the 1/4 mark of the season, and the three of them have a combined 4 goals. that's a significant, season-killing problem.

People were saying that Shesterkin had a bad game that one time when Lindgren scored in his own net and there was a rebound off the boards. You don't get absolved of all goals just because someone is on a breakaway. If he stayed on his feet and gave up the goal I wouldn't be as pissed, he looked pathetic there. And the second goal he was a sieve, put your stick down or something.

Those two players ideally fall behind panarin, Lafreniere and Kakko somewhere when this team is ready. I don't see a road to us keeping Buch unless he is being paid like a third liner imo.

Any guesses on panarin, thought it could be groin with how he moved when affecting it. Has to be soft tissue for him to go back out on the pp. Postponed game may really help his situation here so he doesn't push it too soon

Trade Buch at the deadline imo

I think we need his slapper there.

Get his confidence back and maybe score some goals or at least make their box play focus on him.
his slapper gives me anxiety that's its blocked and going the other way for a break away

Buch completely f***ing up that 2 on 1 and then Marchand turning around and scoring after their “tussle” is so symbolic of the lack of backbone this team has.

The Rangers are heart breakers this year, they played two games that weren't close everything else was a one goal game or two goal game, with only one two goal game that didn't involve an empty net, and the other one was 0-0 for 52 minutes. It's gut wrenching this year watching this team. They play hard and even well but they just can't seem to win consistently.
