Zibanejad looked like his usual self, aside from fumbling that 2 on 1 in the first period. That’s encouraging.

Kakko was a beast and Lafreniere had a really strong 3rd period.

Fox was special.

Those are positives at least.

Biggest positive was that Zibanejad looked like 2019-2020 Zibanejad, I can deal with snake bitten, not invisible.

Zib and Bread are the only two that can create offense out of our forwards. Both are basically going to be at 50% this season. Our offensive production is going to stink. We scored 2 greasy ones tonight. The top two lines will get looks but won't score much all season.

Marchand is better than anyone we have. Their goal was in, lucky we got overtime.

Nah. He wouldn't be the player he is if he was on the Rangers instead of Boston with Bergeron and Pasternak.

Also, the overhead view clearly showed it never definitely crossed the line.

It's amazing how different Bettman is on virtual meetings/radio, compared to public speaking.

man I would be really pissed with all these loser points if an elite talent like Lafreniere was in this upcoming draft...oh wait.

People are seriously pinning this on Georgiev? Jeeez tough crowd

There have been probably three games and 5 points that we lost this season due overwhelmingly to the goalie, second Pens game, Devils game, and third Pens game. This wasn't one of those games, but Georgiev didn't have a good game. And he hasn't had one good game other than the Islanders game where he didn't have to break a sweat.

Marchand would be another Di Giuseppe here. They would suck all the douchebagness and grit out of him

It's time to try new lines.

Move the puck, move your feet and wear the D down. Set up for one timers and Fox dishes the puck/shoots at Kreider's stick.

1st PP

Panarin - Kreider - Kakko

Zibanejad - Fox

2nd PP

LAF - Strome - Buch

Trouba - Miller

We need to work on 2 things. Man advantage and breakaways.

We've missed a lot of breakaways the last 2 games.

Panarin pass gets picked on a PP and that leads to a breakaway. Trouba loses his man and a Bruin scores a goal from in close. Buch makes a horrible pass that leads to another breakaway goal in OT. Some Posters: This loss is all on Georgiev.

Overall it was an okay-ish game. They were pretty good defensively. Georgie was fine. Good even. Trouba lost an edge and a guy was able to get completely alone in front for a goal. It happens. Battled back and got it tied. Got a point. Bad, predictable, laughable goal in OT. I feel like with a lot of Rangers games you can see the opposing goal developing like 6 seconds ahead of time. You just know when it’s coming.

Just sucks that each game at this point you’re like “maybe this is the game Z gets going” or “maybe Kakko gets a goal” or “maybe Laf gets a goal” or at least “maybe we win convincingly” and night after night it’s boring 1 goal games, mostly losses, where Rooney and DiGiuseppe are our best forwards. It’s not even the result that’s disappointing since I kind of expect a loss and don’t mind. I just want to see our stars and future stars play exciting hockey. I’d be happier to lose every game 5-3 and 6-4 at this point. I get that we’re trying to tighten up defensively and that we’re playing with a bunch of fill ins and kids. That’s why I’m fine with losing. I just wish the games weren’t dull and frustrating.

Take out trouba and put an orange traffic cone and you got a deal.
