Worst Sweden team I've seen in a while.

Nylander wasn't great but was definitely the most skilled player on Sweden by quite a bit. Aho, Hagg were terrible. Soderstrom was also very poor.

Nice to see the Slovaks so happy. For them this is big. For Sweden it would just be another medal, only the gold counts after the recent success years.

Haha Hägg, De la Rose & Wallmark as the top players? What the hell....should have just picked the best players instead of the captains who all disappointed.

Wow.. turned off the tv after the game. They arent even top 10 players on the team this year.

Anyhow. Congrats to Slovakia! Great effort, happy for the kids. They wanted it more, deserved it more.

As a result.. 4th place with this team is not bad. What is bad however, is the way they played. Through the entire tournament really but especially the last two games. Too far between the parts of the team. Lacking intensity, lacking discipline, everyone trying to do it themselves, I dont think I have ever seen as many give aways from any team through a tournament like this years team, not a fan of the coaching either.. there really wasn't a system. But the team is young and still have lots to learn. All and all they should be proud with the result but the last two games leaves a lot to desire.

I like our chances for next year though, lots of these kids will come back with this in mind, being better players and more mature.

Söderström poor? What the actual f? He was one of the best on our team. It was the defense that sucked hard.

Leaf fans want him, the rest of us dont.
Haha yeah a bit funny to watch you canadians argu with echoter!
WE dont want him send him to Ukraine.
Haha yeah good idea

Soil our jersey? At least he did something today instead of many of the other players, who just skated around and felt sorry for themselves. What does he have to do to earn your guys approval? Score multiple points every game and produce over 10 shots? He wasn't even directly responsoble for a GA. Your just hating

Yeah soil your jersey... he litterly pissed on the swedish jersey and on Tre Kronor... what did he do?! just glide around and thougt he would get the puck served to him... and worst of all he wears number 21#

Too bad, I was hoping Aho was going to raise his stock with this tournament but he looked like generic crap out there tonight.

Really awesome the Slovaks won. I love when underdogs pull out big performances in tournaments like this.

How dare you? Don't you know Nylander's role as a Leaf prospect to hype is more important than playing for his country?

Well I certainly learned that this tournament. Man I wish another team drafted him. All Swedish GDTs would be reduced by 10 pages.

Nylander played very good up until the last two games. Like the rest of Sweden.

Man the Swedish coach is petty. If you think Nylander floated this game you are crazy, he was buzzing all night long, especially the first two periods. I only caught parts of the third period however. He had 7 of Sweden's 28 shots and made a ton of chances happen on that 5 on 3 in the first.

Pathetic by Renberg to try find faults in Reway's game at every chance, when he was clearly the best skater on the ice. Guy outplayed every Swedish forward by a mile.

Last two games are on the coach as far as I'm concerned. You don't play two games like that in a row if you are well prepared. He'll get away with the age card though.

All that being said, Slovakia played the type of tournament I expected one of Switzerland or Czechs to potentially play. Three impressive wins over Finland, Czechs and Sweden and they deserved bronze. They also played this bronze game with less rest and their semi was more draining than the one Sweden played.

He was not good either last night or tonight.

Fine 7 shots but like 5 wer on the 5 on 3 where he just skated slow as hell before he took a shot with all slovak players infront of him.

Even this game which is considered bad for Nylander he probably created 5-7 prime scoring chances. Other than that he was by far Sweden's best player and it's not even debatable.

The coaching was awful.

He got 5 shots on goal shooting with all the Slovak players in front of him? Must be good at getting shots through lanes then :)

He was buzzing in the first, and some of the 2nd. Really underwhelming in the 3rd though

It's too bad that a few fellow Canadians among others feel the need to kick the Swedes when they're down. :shakehead

It's tough to watch those representing your country lose at any level.

Peace out...onto the gold medal game.

Team sweden as a whole was so bad defensively. Turnover after turnover, no sustained pressure in the offensive zone. Didn't deserve any medal today that's for sure.

It felt like Sweden's head coach and Nylander had something between them the whole tournament. Forcing him to the wing when his creativity would have helped the offensively inept Sweden team. Who chooses their own players of the tournament? The coaching staff?
