Nope, was rooting for Sweden. I never feel compelled to cheer for the underdog just cuz. I am happy for Slovakia though. Fantastic result for them!

Saw the Slovaks play the Finn and the Czechs live in Montreal. They totally got dominated against Finland but Godla stood on his head. Against the Czechs, the Slovaks put in a much better team effort and against Sweden as well. They really progressed throughout the tournament.

There's actually a pretty good number of Slovaks living in Canada, especially immigrants from the times of communism in Czechoslovakia and their families. Our board member Kamzik could probably tell us more about Slovaks in Canada, seeing as he is one himself, I believe.
