I've been hoping since last Spring that they give Isk an NHL look. He's way down in the depth charts, but you don't know what you have until you use it.
He might, but only as a 4th line guy. They do seem to like him in Bridgeport, though. You guys think Kyle mclean could become an NHLer?
He is progressing the hard way. From undrafted, to AHL only contract, to finally signing an NHL contract. He might, but only as a 4th line guy. They do seem to like him in Bridgeport, though.

Only as an assistant coach in charge of the PP . . .You guys think Kyle mclean could become an NHLer?

He’s not talented enough IMO as someone who watches all the baby isles games. He works, he’s tough but is a minor leaguer IMO but a good guy to have in organization as he is a good bottom six Ahl player.MacLean is the Cizikas backup.
He could probably be a 4C on a bottom feeder as a relentless energy guy, but I am not sure if there's legitimate long term NHL upside (because I don't actively watch BPT).
That’s a 5C in most out of all organizations for you. He’ll give you an honest effort for 10-15 games but is not a full season replacement. He’s not talented enough IMO as someone who watches all the baby isles games. Wait what?
This was the Salo i was expecting to see when he went down to Bridgeport. Thought he would be a defenseman who would try to be more creative down there but he's been kind of plain. Hopefully he turns it up this season. Also Maggio got his first goal
Back when I used to watch Salo highlights I was impressed by what seemed to be a level of calm when he had the puck at the point. We don't have much of that. Hopefully he keeps that up and can make the jump at some point.Wait what?
That’s better than Bold-ho
Didn't Salo have some injuries too?Sad fact:
Robin Salo had all of ZERO goals last season. So he's already topped that.
Dennis Cholowski led BPort blueliners in offensive output, and he only had one goal.
Thankfully, Bolduc was well on pace to lead BPort Dmen in scoring before his time in the show ultimately delimited his AHL season to just 56 games.
Make up your mind! You want him calm or jumpy at the point?!Back when I used to watch Salo highlights I was impressed by what seemed to be a level of calm when he had the puck at the point. We don't have much of that. Hopefully he keeps that up and can make the jump at some point.
See where Ruslan Ishakov is off to a fast start. Is he someone to watch as a potential NHL scorer or is his trajectory more of a Rocco Grimaldi, Chase De Leo type tweener who may see time in the NHL but had more of a AAAA-type career?
He’s skilled with puck, NHL level puck skills for sure. His shot to me is as a bottom six wing who plays on the PP. He’s little and isn’t an explosive skater to make up for that although his skating isn’t as bad as it was made out to be. Maggio and Dufour are better prospects IMO though. If he makes it, I'm thinking it's going to have to be as a Maccelli.
That's the type of skill game he brings, although Maccelli's sixth sense from a passing standpoint has been absolutlely sick. He's inching towards Zuccarelloville with his production.
I think Iskhakov not only likes to shoot when he can, but is also smart enough (unlike a few guys already on the NHL team) to understand that he creates better passing opportunities by shooting a good bit. It keeps the Dmen honest knowing he's not always looking to pass.
Seen some pretty slick sidestepping moves from Isk as well. I'm starting believe there could be something here.
Didn't they wear them at the end of last season?
Maybe? I could have totally just forgotten.Didn't they wear them at the end of last season?
