Try not to give out any losses on your own way to the parking lot!10 losses in a row?
And not one call for Thommer to be fired.10 losses in a row?
Do something now! Shake up that roster! Make a deal now!!And not one call for Thommer to be fired.
Everyone here is getting soft.
I’m trying to show restraint. And not one call for Thommer to be fired.
Everyone here is getting soft.
Ahhhh. Much better.Do something now! Shake up that roster! Make a deal now!!
Will that suffice?
He could be the Tage of coaches and end up another Toe Blake. And not one call for Thommer to be fired.

Thompson should've been fired 8 years ago. I dont think Lou even cares about the AHL team
I’m with you but be careful there. That’s an unpopular take around here.Thompson should've been fired 8 years ago. I dont think Lou even cares about the AHL team

I made it to 17 days. That’s pretty good for me.I’m trying to show restraint.
New Year’s resolution
No Holmstrom, Hutton, Fasching, Raty, Wotherspoon (am I missing anyone?).10 losses in a row?

Coach T gets all the credit for anyone that’s passed through Bridgeport and has made it in the NHL. No blame for the countless others. Over many years there will be a handful of good players that make it through any team’s farm system. But how about the numerous picks in the top 3 rounds that have disappointed? How about goalie development? (That’s not a dig at Korn btw.)
Leaving those points aside, I am a firm believer in building a winning culture and I’m not even sure it’s on the list of priorities for this franchise. All I hear about is prospect development at the AHL level and of course that’s the primary objective. Fine, let’s talk about prospect development. Has it been acceptable?
As much as it pains me to say, based on those absences I’ll give Thompson a pass for the recent slide. Not so for the prior years. No Holmstrom, Hutton, Fasching, Raty, Wotherspoon (am I missing anyone?).
I think Schneider and a few others were banged up as well.
Schneider was up here backing up Soroky. No Holmstrom, Hutton, Fasching, Raty, Wotherspoon (am I missing anyone?).

Schneider played on 1/13 and 1/16, won them both.Schneider was up here backing up Soroky.
If I’m not mistaken, Schneider hasn’t played since his return to BPT. Skarek and Appleby have been splitting starts.
Slowly they are coming back. Always felt that they just needed to get into the playoffs . Once Palmieri, Wahlstrom come back for the Islanders we can get back Holmstrom and Fasching and we will be fine. Hutton coming back is really starting to pay dividends. I believe Seveigny and Bolduc are NHL defenseman. If the Islanders are sellers at the deadline and I believe they won’t for I could foresee them going on a little bit of a run once Pelech comes back but if I’m wrong and we are sellers I would love for Mayfield to return a AHL young high producing winger instead of picks. I would love Clarke from Utica or a Lysall from Providence. I want this team to win a Calder Cup.Dufour wins it in OT 1-0.
Problem is that style being taught doesn’t win anymoreAll of the forwards who have come up have fit in nicely and done an adequate job, so that's a good thing and probably the only thing Lamoriello cares about.
Still positive that we have prospects that are progressing up front, how many guys like Dufour have come through and couldn’t score 10 in AHL after being 40 plus in junior. Before isles got banged up pulling baby isles best players and also baby isles having injuries if their own it was a good team. Long term goalie is issue cause Skarek has regressed off just being an average prospect, he is borderline unplayable at this point in Bridgeport.Problem is that style being taught doesn’t win anymore
Dufour is a feel good story for sure and I think what has helped him progress to the AHL, he hasn’t required a big change to his game since he had a defensive responsibility already so the jump hasn’t affected his offensive style like it has for others. The big test is can his skating improve enough to have success at the NHL level. Skarek, in his few brief Islanders preseason appearances seemed to elevate his game. Maybe the test would be if we were out of it and they moved Varlamov, find out how he looks before cutting him loose. It’s quite possible he plays up or down to how team is playing or he’s just to volatile to spend any more time on himStill positive that we have prospects that are progressing up front, how many guys like Dufour have come through and couldn’t score 10 in AHL after being 40 plus in junior.
