People want a re-build but if its over Luongo then they'll complain that we got him(if it happens). Damned if you do and damned if you don't. Honestly, this fan base is hilarious. I almost want the Leafs to give up the entire farm system to get Luongo just so people can get even more angry

Maybe not 4 but this move ensures at least this and next season is a circus for sure. Unless Randy gets fired right away too and we get a full clean slate, otherwise it's Wilson being there ahead of Burke all over again and questions on Randy's fate after every 2 game losing streak and the new GM constantly having to answer question's about Randy's future.

Its gonna get worst with the Leafs before it gets better now.

I went big and bold with my betting as I bet my buddy $100 that Burke would not last this calendar year as GM, and payday happened on only day 9 of 2013.

It was a $50 double or nothing bet that he lost that Wilson would be fired last season.

Try a 8 years of losing hockey, ownership with a reputation for interfering in hockey related matters, its an utter disaster.

I will be looking in to the best options for cancelling my Rogers account. I'm an addict, so I can't stop following The Leafs.. but I sure can move my $400 / month Telecomm bill to the smaller companies.

I had already moved all my stuff except for cable to smaller telecoms due to bad service and extra charges but now gives me more reason to move it.

If it is due to Burke not wanting to take on Luongo, I wonder if it was due to Burke overvaluing his own players - which has been speculated in the past that he tends to do. Where as others (including the owners) questioned why when it's for an elite goaltender.

Just a thought.

You would think that if 4 years really hinged on not getting Luongo, there has to be some more underlying issues.

Everyone can make arguments that the system is stocked better with prospects (which it is) but the product at the ACC hasn't come to fruition.
