An example I noticed was Kane. Here is his win loss record from 2014,
Kane 74 56 13 4-69-1 5% win percentage

He had the lowest record along with Sandow. Yet JBL kept hyping Kane up all the time. Was a strange period. He also was corporate kane who was an authority type figyre during that time period. On the other end of the spectrum El Torito had the same amount of matches and had a 91% win ratio. El torito has the highest win percentage in the wwe of all time.

You don't need a middle ground if you never intent to do anything with them. They come back, put some guys over, then mull about in the lower card doing whatever then leave.

But my point was, Jericho would come back time and time again and it got so stale that him "putting guys over" never actually put the guy over. It was on the same level as beating Zack Ryder.

Definitely need some vets with all the youth on the roster, tough to fill out two brands as we all saw the first time around.

I'm a big Tajiri fan, his stuff with Regal in 2001 was gold, but that was 2001 which was forever ago.

Remember the pop when Bubba returned? Since the Dudleys have returned they have a high losing percentage and interest has waned. The return of the dudleys actually brought a few of my friends back to wrestling for a few weeks, then they dropped it again. I assume if they bring those veterans back some older viewers might return and view a few episodes. After that they will have to work to keep those viewers.

It'll be easier to keep viewers for single returns. WWE hasn't really cared about the Tag Division in years. It's better now than it was a few years ago, but it's still not good.

Angle said he never mentioned about returning for the Brand Extension, and that the dirt-sheets twisted his words to fit their agenda. He also mentioned his life is more than wrestling, and that he won't be wrestling much longer, however he is very excited for his future.

Sooo, essentially, it sounds like either Angle's comments were taken out of context, OR he stands by his comments that he will be returning, just not at the Brand Split and it will be before or after that.

What actually happened was that a while ago the WWE contracted Angle. All that WWE asked was that if Angle would be open to working with them again in the future, and Angle said yes. There were no ideas at all, they just wanted to know if Angle was an option if they came up with anything where they could use him.

All they did was re-open lines of communication that had been closed for years as Angle has had the "do no touch" label on him. This is a big deal, but far from 'Angle is coming back'.

This then all got spun by the s*** tier wrestling "news" sites out there. And then silly people read them and believed it.

Meltzer on his show said that the reason WWE probably doesn't want to use him (in reference to WWE saying they won't the other day) is that they've recently had a number of wellness issues happen, and they don't need any more mess from them right now.

Just thinking about wrestling last night, and how incredibly stupid this brand extension is after thinking about it more. They JUST unified the titles and made this huge deal about it, and now its already gone.

I don't care what they say, Smackdown will always be considered second tier, and the "World Heavyweight Champion" will always be looked at as second tier to the WWE Champion because the WWE made it that way with their ego's starting from the fall of the WCW.

It's kind of why if they bring back a second title that it's not the big gold belt. I think they should make it the winged eagle WWE title and just call it the World Heavyweight Title.

it not as if the writing has been great on RAW. Any chance Smackdown could be the better show.

My personal opinion as far as belts go is there should be only one main undisputed championship for wrestlers on both Smackdown and Raw to aim for and the champion should defend from challengers from both shows(not in the same week to make the workload manageable). I would make the IC champion the Raw number one contender, and the USA champ the Smackdown contender. To face the WWE champion they would face each other at a PPV(While the current WWE champ is facing his own opponent in a different match) with the winner relinquishing his IC/US belt rights for a title shot. Lose and you have to re earn the IC/US belt then beat your rival show's champ to get another shot. Royal Rumble winners and King of the Ring both get WWE title shots along with Money in the Bank to be able to toss wildcards into the championship hunt. They should never again dilute the product by having two main championships of roughly equal value. There should always be that one champion that has that gold that everyone is gunning for and hopes to be one day.

to give the mid to low carders something to shoot for I would bring back the tv titles and european or north american belts. Each show would have its own tag and women's championship belts too.

I didn't watch much but lots of people said Smackdown was the better show during the old brand split. It didn't matter thought because I bet Smackdown was still looked at as second tier.

Imagine if WCW has a Nitro brand and a Thunder brand? That's how stupid I think the brand split is, it's the equivalent of that and it's actually why I stopped watching the WWE the first go around.

Assuming that both shows have comparable rosters, and are written at a similar level, then Smackdown will be by far the better show. It won't even be close at all. Two hours is just such a massive advantage over three that it doesn't even matter what you do on Raw.

Like even now, Smackdown is far more watchable than Raw. And that without any story or progression on that show.

If they had any brains theyd have Stephanie go rogue after losing the RAW job & she'd rebrand Smackdown WCW & bring back Jim Ross.
