This would be the deal that puts London over the top. And if you’re Hunter, you should make this trade. Spend the picks. How often do you have a team like this? Adding Andonovski would be a massive add. Give some conditional picks based on his potential return for OA (which isn’t likely to happen but cover those bases). The defence needs improving. But at this point it’s gravy.

Why on earth would the Rangers trade Andonovski? I mean, let's be realistic folks.

As others have mentioned, go out and acquire a defensive d-man to slot in the top 4, and in the process, demote/trade Fagan. I'm ok with current goaltending tandem, would lean towards Elliot as #1. He's undefeated in the O, and has only struggled in one game if memory serves, the shootout gallery vs Guelph.
Overall, team is looking good, polished.
I think we're 12-1 or 13-1 since Cowan's return from Leaf camp.

Nice knee by Swick what a clown
I'd love to see a replay on that. Just saw him go down from the corner of my eye watching live. Knights fan beside me called Brz Parekh because he threw a tantrum, walked it off in the hallway and didn't miss a shift. Maybe not accurate, might be swollen tomorrow but seemed much ado about nothing. Will reserve final judgement until seeing a replay.

Well, if London ends up needing a goalie later, you call Mike McKenzie.
Would Mark Hunter be that gangster to Elliott that hey would trade Elliott and pieces for Parsons??

My guy that works for Vaughn goalie pads said that they let Austin Elliott order new goalie pads. In comparison, they didn’t let Willmore order new pads this year as they knew he may be shopping or turned out to be cut.

McKenzie might get more than one call on Parsons.
Curious, who do you think calls for Parsons that is contending?? Most contending teams have their guy.

Barrie - I could see trading Hillebrandt maybe for Parsons
Erie - Erliden is amazing and better.
Flint - Day is the only reason why they aren’t in the basement
London - no reason to trade 7-0 Eliott
Oshawa - Oster is the reigning GOTY
Kingston - already has former Mem Cup OA Lalonde
Brantford - Leenders is their goalie
Brampton - can Ivankovic carry the load?
Windsor - Joey Castanzo is Goalie of the Year so far
Saginaw - no way they trade Oke.

Only teams I could see that are interested is Brampton and Barrie. London doesn’t do Elliott dirty and trades him unless he fails drastically.

It’s nearly 2 am but I can’t sleep because I’m nursing a sick kitty. In any event, just wanted to chime in on the ‘05 discussion.

I remember vividly driving to a game that year with some friends listening to the radio pre show. They were interviewing the coach of the other team (don’t recall who) and they asked him something to the effect of “What are your chances against London tonight?” And I recall his response as clear as day: “If we bring our ‘A game’ and they bring their ‘C or D game’, we MIGHT have a shot”. LOL

To me that is the difference. That team was just so dominant that the other teams had basically thrown in the towel before the game started. I don’t know if this team could beat the ‘05 team or not, but I don’t think they are THAT dominant yet. Maybe they can get there. But it’s too early to say for sure.

Ando is fantastic. Best Ranger (other than Parsons)
Brampton. That’s who I was thinking of.

They can score at will but need further defensive depth and Ivankovic isn’t getting it done. He’s only 17 and is likely a year away from being dominant.

Parsons and Ando would be a big improvement for them.

Both those guys for G Gibbons and picks. Rangers truly aren’t contending this year. Need to stick to the plan and continue the sell off that started with Rehkopf.

That would be a true boatload of picks. Like I said two best Rangers and the leaders of your team. Not easy to part with those players

No it’s not. But Brampton is all in this year. They may have dealt Leenders a year too early.

And there’s a decent chance the young Rangers will slip to 3rd or 4th in the conference by Jan 1. That could trigger further sell off.

It's now back-to-back years where Ahokas is coaching the Rangers to punch well above their weight. Hard to fully sell off when the Rangers keep playing so well.

Based on how the west looks this year, today, the Rangers maybe get to the conference final vs London. Maybe.

Trade Ando and Swick, keep Parsons and Miseljevic, and they still maybe get to that conference final. Maybe.

A good sign seeing the Knights forwards back checking like their playoff lives were on the line last night. I still think this team has another gear to reach offensively and defensively but you can tell they’re buying what Dale, Dylan, and Steady are selling.

Also, has anyone noticed all the little things Nurmi does? Positions himself very well along the boards. Knows how to protect the puck and leverage a good passing opportunity from it. Plays a pro style game imo. Not a ton of points yet but that’s all right. Very impressed with the details of his game.

Sometimes when your sent back from the pros your game looks off. Halttunen looks sharp and forgot how much of a weapon he is.
Playing well defensively as well. I think it’s a good development year for him
