Name me a young rookie ranger defenseman that made that much of an impression in their first game. Don't confuse that with me saying he's going to be automatically better than those held in high regard.

This may make many cringe but the Rangers could use a good ol Canadian boy on the backend. :) Americans, I come in peace from being a Rangers fan for a long time north of the border lol

Leading up to this point he plays the kind of game I love out of a defenseman. I really hope this is a sign of things to come, I'm sure there'll be growing pains because he's going to get tougher assignments if he builds off of that. But this kid's got it.

For anyone that didn't take a lengthy look or watch any of it at all - the clip I posted earlier, tonight, Braden looked very similar to being that comfortable in his first NHL game.

Somewhere in the US, Gallant is giddy.

This kid is gona be a key part of our Future going fwd. Congrats on your 1st goal Schneids welcome aboard.
Even without the goal, he was solid on the defensive side as well.
A Miller-Schneider pair could be Huge as our 3/4 for a lot of years to come

I could see Schneider-Jones.
Though Trouba-Jones works as well.

It’s going to be tough because I have no doubt Robertson is coming.
He’s prob still a year and half or so out, but much like Schneider, I believe Robertson will be part of our top 6 D.
Just a feeling in my gut.
Guys with size that can move to puck, play solid D,etc. that’s a thing that every team wants.
Robertson will probably never be as physical as Schneider, but he’s bigger already and I doubt he’ll be a pushover.
He’ll be more in the “Staal” mode as far as comparisons go. But he’ll be better with the puck on his stick.
You can already see Glimpses from the slick/subtle plays he makes in Hartford now.
He needs to add so weight to his frame and keep his mobility, but overall with Miller/Robertson/Schneider that’s a healthy dose of size added to the back end.
You add that to Fox ( other worldly) and Lindgren who is also mobile a plays a big mans game, and that’s 5 out of 6 making the rangers incredibly tough to deal with.
Not to mention shesty and a solid back up.
We’re also not going to stop drafting Defenseman in the 1st/2nd rounds, so well more then likely be adding to an excellent young foundation

Strong Debut. Watching him erase Meier was impressive, Meier is a thick dude.

He seemingly always puts a body on someone with out taking himself out of position. They aren't kill shots (hes got that in his game too), but they're enough to knock someone off the puck, slightly take them off course, etc.

Hes not an ace puck mover, but even that part of his game was decisive last night and thats really half the battle. Certainly more than good enough for the type of player he is.
