Apparently Treliving has tried to acquire Schenn multiple times at deadlines etc, and now it seems like an easy task to just re-sign him and fits a mold he generally likes.

In terms of Kampf, I think he's going to get 2.5-3.5M range...he's gonna look at Lowry and think he's somewhere around there.
I hope not. Lowry produces more and he's nails. Kampf is getting a raise I agree but based on numbers and demand somewhere in the 2 to 2.5 range. And I think he's worth it because he's a center.

Agreed....his stock is dropping & the recurring wrist issues are concerning...
I think we’ve already seen the best of him, not worth a raise let alone a big one, let some other team make that mistake……..

Yep, he's had his 15 minutes of fame. I'd definitely trade him....and his 2 Amigos. We need a new direction
BT surely knows all of this...the NHL is a small club.

Kampf is a 4th liner due to the extremely limited offense. If we can inject more offense on the 3rd line in the form of Haula, Barbashev, Compher, then I'd be very open to bringing him back.

They have some great pieces that would help imo…….

It would have to start at Andersson or Nosh Hanifin for me, then either Jakob Pelletier, Matthew Coronato or Connor Zary, and Elias Lindholm. They have pieces like you said to make a trade work. Dustin Wolf is also there if you’re interested in a young goalie.

I'd bring him back as our $4C for under $2m or less. The first time he was crushed against Florida, he disappeared but he impressed me as the series went on. Somebody might pay him more and he'll take it.

If we resign Kampf for that amount, then I would assume he would slot in as our 3rd line center. I'm just wondering what kind of production teams look for in their 3rd line center? I would imagine Holmberg will be our 4th line center.

Nikita Zadorov please

3.75m with one year remaining on his contract. Mayfield should be cheaper and won't cost you any assets. Andersson would be a nice add but you'd have to move out Lily and maybe Brodie.

we saw in the playoffs they couldn’t ice a normal lineup. Lots of work to do for the new GM and it’ll take time, luck or both.
Anybody looking at the team subjectively can see they were not close to winning a cup, yet the geniuses pushed in their chips and lost.

Agree that they have some good options, but can't see them moving a few of these guys. Especially Wolf, no chance they move the best goalie prospect in the league.

I love Knies and I can't wait to see what he's going to become but to say right now he is for sure a top 6 forward is not accurate but maybe by the end of the season we are saying that.

Abruzzese had a nice pro year in the AHL and I thought came up looking okay in the call up stint. Robertson is glass and Sandin/Durzi can run a powerplay but wilt with any defensive responsibility.
Based on the small sample size that we saw of Knies, I would have no reason whatsoever to think he can't play in the top 6 (again, I know it was a small sample size).

Bunting has already walked, his post-season sucked and management hadn't engaged in contract all season.

I just wonder if Tavares is at LW or not.
I can't see JT playing center, but this management group may/probably will see things differently.

We honestly need a two way guy. A Brandon Montour guy IMO. We need more offense from the back end. I think we had one of the lowest offensive output from the back end.

Give Liljegren more rope.. he may not have that Montour offensive upside but he’s a strong two way defender, with good mobility, puck skills, and a hard shot.

I think to get a guy like Marner or Nylander they’d be open to moving any of those prospects not named Wolf. Just because those guys are unproven right? I’d like Coronato or Zary. Pelletier is a really good prospect as well but he’s a lot of what we’ve had in the past. Smaller talented offensive guy, not the best defensively.

Mayfield would be a nice add, if possible, Zar brings a booming shot and bite to a timid backend

Agreed in may be cheaper and in our benefit to develop Liljegren into that guy. The upside is there, we just need Liljegren to execute when given the opportunity. Because I look back to former leafs teams that were decent and one of our strengths was offense from the back end. Might help reduce the scoring pressure on the forwards.

Yeah they'd prob move one of those guys, but they'd need to add more IMO. I feel like we'd need to target Andersson (who is awesome) and then maybe a prospect and another player. Coleman would be interesting.
