Hyman for Greg McKeggThat was a signing.
Not a trade.

Great. But they both still suck.
You'll notice that I didn't even include Bennett in my list because Treliving was hired in April of 2014 and so I don't think he really 'made' that decision.2014 on.. which are good? 15/16 are the only good ones.
Bennett at 4 is not good.
Ill take a punch to the nose over a kick to the balls any day.We went from getting kicked in the balls to ketting punched in the nose
As long as he doesn't sign Sutter. Although he would be funny with the media in this city.If he gets rid of Keefe, it is something. Not really a fan; but, the bed is made.
Yeah things worked out so great here the last time a GM said that"We require, as a team, proper levels of pugnacity, testosterone, truculence and belligerence. That’s how our teams play." - Brad Treliving 2023
Sure, and they lost Fox as well. My point was just that he has a decent track record in the draft.
True story, in early 2011 I went to Estevan for the opening of a new arena, and Brian Burke was the headline speaker. After his speech there was the opportunity to go shake his hand, get a photo, autograph, etc. But I've never been a person who likes to take up famous peoples' time. I didn't need a photo or sig or anything. I just introduced myself, shook his hand hard, looked straight into his eyes, and with my sad/abused/dying-for-something-to-be-excited-about Leafs fan look, said to him, "please do this right. No quick fixes. Just do it right." and he looked back at me as serious as one could, and said, "I will, James. I will." and I was never more sure of anything in my life, as I was in that moment, that Brian Burke would build the Leafs into a winner. Please do a great job.
Coming into a really tough spot but have to hope he picks the right coach and makes a few key moves to get us over the top.
Although this was from 2014 so his opinion could have changed but this is what he said about how he views the game.
"I think the style of play, people talk about big and whatever word you want to use, I think you need to have heavy teams now," he said. "I think you have to play a heavy game. That's not just a personal preference. Turn on the TV tonight and watch the games."
"There are steps along the way. We've got to take a lot of steps but in order to be there at the end, to build a championship, you do have to have a blueprint and you look at the games that are being played now. It's hard hockey. It's heavy hockey. It's a man's game. It's a big boy's game out there right now. In order to have success, I fully believe you have to have a team that can play in those games."

The Tkachuk trade was absolutely a case of making the best of a no win situation.buddy’s trade history absolutely blows over the last 3 years lol.
I said that in a different comment to a completely different post making a joke about bad goalie signings. You dont even know what you wrote 5 minutes ago? Go back and read that again, you will find a little something about Dubas trading 1st round picks.
Who is the buddy of Dubas in the Pittsburgh ownership?
Thank you I'm more than fine here. I wanna see your reactions when the new GM butcheres the franchise on every july 1st like he always does
I agree with your assessment of Dubas and his brutal trades - - but he’s finally gone now and the Leafs can move forward with Treliving.buddy’s trade history absolutely blows over the last 3 years lol.
Can never doubt the courage of his convictions. He tried. Everyone post-Ballard has tried seriously, largely. Dubas tried. None of them maliciously pooched it.True story, in early 2011 I went to Estevan for the opening of a new arena, and Brian Burke was the headline speaker. How did they make a great move in cashing out when they lost Marchment for nothing? It did them nothing. You're arguing that a trade is only a 'win' if you win the Cup - the Panthers won nothing of substance with Marchment on their roster then lost him for nothing.
Was it?The Tkachuk trade was absolutely a case of making the best of a no win situation.
Did he stiff you on a bar tab or something?I agree with your assessment of Dubas and his brutal trades - - but he’s finally gone now and the Leafs can move forward with Treliving.
Malgin had 4 points this year. Though traded, the Leafs won a round. Marchment's 60 points in his two Florida years produced no series wins. Which means 4 > 60 (HA!)0 points sucks a lot more than 60,
No chance of that.As long as he doesn't sign Sutter. Although he would be funny with the media in this city.
